Dr. Steven Kobren, MD

I know Dr Kobren for past 35 years . Have never heard any thing negative about him till date . He can diagnose the condition in few seconds irrespective of other cardiologysts.

Very thorough. No problem requesting tests. Listens to your questions.

just saw the doc-he knows his stuff.Figured my problem out fast, prescribed medication, Im better in 2 days!Took me on time, office staff was great and compassionate. Runs like a well oiled machine. They notified me with all my test results in less than 24 hours. I had a few questions- got an email response and a personal call from them quickly. was not used to this level of care and concern. Switched all my healthcare to him.

My family has been seeing Dr Kobren for over 20 years. He really cares about us.The office is very friendly and efficient. Everyone does their job well. I can always get in to see Dr Kobren at a moments notice- which is very unusual for a doctors office. Years ago when i wasnt feeling well one day he managed to see me that day. I asked him how he manages to always squeeze his patients in- he told me that he needs to be available for his patients when they need him most- when they dont feel well. He explained that he just has to work longer that day! I never forgot that and to this day remain loyal! He is a special doctor , amazing diagnostics.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews, my primary is in the same building as Dr. Kobren, and whenever something shows up negatively cardiac wise, I walk across the hallway since they are both on the same floor, and am seen promptly. Very experienced(34years)and he does spend time with you. My last physical in Jan my ekg was a little off, so my primary sent me upstairs where they do a test, had results after Dr. Kobren read them and relayed info to my primary within two hours.

Cancer anyone,you'll be in fine shape with a annual nuclear stress test from this money grubber who See's 3 patients at once ,Big Pharma and Kobren are one of the same!

Yes, Dr. Kobren is quick but you just know he is looking at everything. He is caring and if you have a question he will stop and answer. Just bring a list. I would like to have Dr. Kobren as my primary care physician but I am not sure if he has the time. He knows me better than anyone. He is one terrific, caring and intelligent Drs I have ever met. Everyone in his staff is fantastic!!

Dr Kobren is a truly special doctor - amazing diagostician! I was looking for a new doctor and I researched him after friends recommended him I like that he is a Professor at NYU Medical School and still teaches there. He is fast, but thorough.When I recently had a complicated medical issue, he made me feel like I was the only patient in his practice! Couldnt ask for anything more- so grateful to be under his care. I have sent alot of my friends to him and they all have had similar experiences. Simply the best

Very good diagnostician but office has changed and feels like a factory. Everything is rushed now including visits with him. It’s just not the same

I am not a patient of Dr. Kobren and visited him for a second opinion. Despite this, he showed sincere interest in my concerns, listened patiently and looked carefully at the records I brought. He examined me and had me take an EKG. After looking at the results, Dr. Kobren concurred with my doctor's judgment and action and told me that there is no need to worry. He explained the situation clearly and reassured me. He was very kind and told me to call or visit if I have any questions in the future. The office staff was also very kind, professional, and organized. I walked out of the office with a big smile and it was noticed by several staff members who smiled at me and expressed their good wishes. Thank you very much. I highly recommend Dr. Kobren for his many admirable qualities as a doctor!!!

He has a very limited bedside manner. No one for small talk, but that said, this man is absolutely excellent. Pays great attention to details, great followup via calls and emails and really seems to pay strong attention to test results. Highly recommended.

Dr. Kobren is an incredible doctor and has a bedside manner rarely seen in today’s physicians.

Dr. Kobren has been my Primary Care physician for 20 years. I was referred to him when I had a chest cold and upon asking to do a full exam as a new patient he discovered a tumor in my breast which we found to be malignant. He saved my life. He has taken care of my entire family ever since. There is no better doctor, diagnostician, caring human being. My family has since moved out of state but we continue to stay in touch because there is NO ONE we trust more.

Simply the best. Caring, competent, thorough. His office staff is wonderful and work together to get you through tests promptly and comfortably. Highly recommended.

Dr KOBREN is one of the best cardiologist I have ever gone to. He is professional and very direct with his patients, however he makes sure you understand everything before he leaves you. His staff is very professional and caring. He is one of the best diagnostician I have ever met.

I been a patient of Dr. Kobren for over 10 years. He's my primary physician. He has always shown a sensitivity and concern that is rare in today's health care mess. He has always given me a thorough examination and time to hear my concerns. His access is remarkable and I never had a problem reaching him in a reasonable time. He invokes a great deal of confidence and a level of security knowing that he's your advocate. He's the only one I would want in a real emergency situation.

Dr. Kobren easied my worry when I had severe post-op swelling and greatly fluctuating high blood pressure by changing my medication slightly and peforming all necessary tests to tell if this was just a temporary problem or evidence of heart disease. His staff is extremely courteous, professional and well-educated. His phelbotomists (draws blood) get my very small veins on the first try with minimal discomfort.

I had life threatening hyper tension at 32 yrs old. I was a personal trainer with no symptoms and therefore was misdiagnosed by my doctors for several annual visits. By the time it was caught, I had damage to the walls of my heart and my bp was not responding to the 1st several meds. I then started seeing Dr. Kobren and he had my bp under control within the 1st 4 weeks. I am now 44 years old, healthy and without question, would trust Dr. Kobren with my life (literally).
