Terrible surgeon does not listen to my concerns and now I’m depressed about the surgery he did on me. If I knew what he was going to do to me before surgery I would have canceled the surgery,He doesn’t care what he does. He wants your money. He doesn’t deserve any star.

Dr. Mather gave me hope when I was at my lowest point! He gave me back the ability to walk again without crippling pain and constant collapsing. I knew the day after my surgery that he gave me my life back.

Went to see Dr. Mather to simply find out if my pain stemmed from skeletal reasons or muscular. Dr. Mather's beside manner was so horrendous he made me cry. He focused more on my weight and bashing me telling me to go on weight watchers, rather than sticking to the facts of the x-ray and telling me if there was any problems with my spine. Horrible man.

Dr. Mather and his PA, Kelly Perillo were phenomenal throughout the process of diagnosing and treating my cervical spine issue. He is clear and straightforward, which is very necessary in his line of work. I'd not previously had surgery - and it seemed very scary. He was very kind and said I would know when I was ready. He was right. Cortisone shots did nothing to reduce my pain, and I could not live in chronic pain any longer. It's been four months since my spinal fusion and I have no regrets!

I had extremely bad experience with Dr. Mather. I always saw another doctor in his clinic who was outstanding. He left last year, so I saw Dr. Mather for the first time for a simple annual eye check. He gave me horribly wrong prescription for glasses. I went again and after waiting for an hour, he came for 2 minutes, and gave me wrong prescription again. I saw a new doctor and got the correct pair of glasses. Mather also missed that I am developing cataract. His staff is also very rude.

I had leg pain caused by stenosis between L4 & L5. After an MRI, Dr. Mather said the only thing that would help is surgery; minimally invasive spinal fusion with titanium screws and a "cage." Also reconfiguring material between the vertebrae. Sounded scary, but it turned out great. No pain now, and minimal scarring 8 weeks afterward. Had to wear a brace for 6 to 7 weeks and went to rehab after the hospital. Went to spine class at GoodSam before surgery. Dr. Mather is highly experienced in this

I went to Dr. Mather in Dec. 2015 with leg and back pain. After x-ray & MRI he told me that I would probably need surgery - spinal fusion L2-L5. He didn't push me into surgery but said he felt I would need it within the next year. In April 2016 I had the surgery and my back is doing great - no pain. I feel he did a great job and I would recommend him. He was attentive and visited my hospital room twice after the surgery over 2 days to make sure I was OK. Great staff to work with.

Never heard anything good about this doctor. Lawyer's, his own staff and much more have no respect for him. Went in there for a second ime appointment showed him an mri he did some very basic test, and i felt like i was being interviewed by a police detective. He said that there wasn't anything wrong with me. But I'm actually in the middle of getting my insurance to approve a back surgery, and I'm still unable to go back to work.
