Don't think twice
Very confused by the reviews here. The office looks like a typical medical office. It is no less clean than any other medical office I've been to. The front desk staff was very nice and Dr. Shapiro was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable yet able to explain things in a very digestible form. He was very kind, honest, and sensitive to the nature of the news he may have to deliver. He seems to do what he's doing because he actually enjoys it. If you're considering speaking to a geneticist, I highly recommend looking no further than Dr. Shapiro.

I am giving 1 star due to the lack of professionalism at this office! I am in the medical field professionally and would be embarrassed to work here. The office staff is rude, they had me come back to their back filing room to make a payment (the 2 receptionists were sitting basically in a closet, one on the floor). I asked for my results and they would not give them to me, my doctor faxed a request to be sent to another office, that never happened. So. Frustrated. I will never go here again and I would definitely not recommend this to anyone. What a bad experience!!

Unfortunately, I cannot rate Dr. Saphiro's services because after multiple calls to his office trying to make sure my appointment was covered by my insurance, his front desk person -Elaine - told me, it wasn't necessary for me to go through all the hazard of verifying insurance coverage, it was better to cancel the appointment. I think he was not part of my network and wanted to bill me later.
