Dr. Steven Smith, MD

This was actually one of the worst cases of medical gaslighting I have ever experienced. Because my referral indicated that I also experience tendonitis and am seeing a rheumatologist, my referral was denied. I have previously been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, by an orthopedic surgeon at Kaiser, and this was indicated in the referral. The receptionist told me 'well you know the hip dysplasia could be caused by something rheumatologic.' Pretty sure that's not how congenital hip dysplasia works! Absolutely unbelievable but glad I found out his character sooner rather than later! Medical gaslighting is a bad look my guy! Would give zero stars if it would let me!

I’ve had 2 hip replacement surgery by Dr. Steven Smith !! Both experiences went fantastically !!! Dr. Smith is smart, straight forward with a kind manner about him and extremely easy to talk to !!! He’s informative and never rushed but rather gives you time to have all your questions answered !!! He came to visit me but not only to check on me BUT, he took the time to see how I was walking and walked me down the hall !! I can’t say enough about this wonderful doctor !! Sadly my knees are probably next and I’ll definitely be going back to him !!! Absolutely would not trust any other Orthopedic doctor !!!

From the moment I checked in for my appointment, I was met with courtesy from a friendly staff. And what can I say about Dr. Smith? He was kind, knowledgable, efficient and, best of all, helped a knee problem that has been bothering me for months. I would highly recommend Dr. Smith!

Dr. Smith is the finest orthopedic surgeon I can imagine. It's been almost six months since the last of my two hips were replaced by him. I've transformed in this last year from someone who could barely walk to a person without any joint pain or ill effects whatsoever. I'm like new. Moreover, Dr. Smith takes exceptional time with and interest in his patients, is immensely informative, extremely caring—and really, really, really skilled at his profession. I can't recommend him highly enough!!!

Dr. Smith has done two knee replacements for me and two for my husband-- and a hip replacement for my husband, too. We wouldn't think of going to anyone else. If you want THE BEST look no further. I have had surgical nurses tell me that he's one of the best orthopedic surgeons they have ever seen. I would trust this man with my life.

I had my 1st appointment scheduled today w/ Dr. Smith. Am very new to this area and got lost on my way there. I called to notify I was having problems. I was 15 minutes for the 2:00 appointment time but according to the middle aged officious woman at the desk, with a clear dose of arrogance, informed me I was too late and would have to be rescheduled because I showed up too late for her paperwork...as though I did it on purpose. Stay away from this place. Arrogance is what they serve.

Dr. Smith explained everything in detail in regards to my knee surgery. He even sat down and talked to my wife after the surgery and explained everything to her. Fantastic doctor!!!

Dr Smith and Tori are fantastic. My knee feels better than it has in years.
