I was permanently physically and mentally injured from Dr. Stuart Kahn during a traumatic back epidural for my lower back pain. He hit my L-5 nerve root. It was the most painful experience of my life. I was violently screaming and jerking around on the table. The pain was unbearable and I still have major complications and nerve damage over 2 years later. I still wake up screaming at night reliving the event. I live in constant pain and lost permanent feeling in my right foot according to my neurologist. I still experience incredible pain across my chest/rib/shoulder along with hearing loss and tinnitus. I have seen every specialist possible to try and stop the pain. I was treated awful by Dr. Stuart Kahn when I returned to him to explain the injuries he caused. He basically LIED to my face and destroyed my quality of life.

Dr. Kahn is a terrific doctor. He successfully treated me for the excruciating pain of a severely herniated administering very little pain while doing it. He's patient and thoroughly explains everything. And he's a nice guy, too.

Dr Kahn is now at mt Sinai; however good he may have been in the past he is not anymore. His PA and fellow do it all.he explains nothing.After greetiing me he indicated that the epidaural would likely work better than his previous steroid injection ....I never received a previous injection from him or anyone else.I was NOT. Scheduled for an epidaural..fluoroscope set up done by fellow..immediately after procedure, I asked if image on screen was me.."no, my next patient". nothing more

I was referred to Dr. Kahn by a surgeon I consulted with at Mt. Sinai. I have had chronic back pain and the surgeon suggested nerve blocks. Even though he was swamped he saw me the same day and gave me the injection. He and his fellow have followed up on me since then, and have shown genuine concern and compassion (unusual these days). I highly recommend him!

I saw Dr. Kahn yesterday and I'm still in awe of his bedside manners, his tremendous compassion, and last but certainly not least his great knowledge in the field of orthopedics and pain medicine. I have a very long medical history so I've come across at least a couple of hundred physicians throughout my life. I came across some very decent doctors and I've also come across physicians who are an insult to their profession. Dr. Kahn has certainly restored my faith in doctors.

Dr. Kahn was very knowledgeable and great at explaining how he was going to perform my epidural injection, step by step. His bedside manner was the best I have ever experienced, he made me feel relaxed and confidant in my decisions. I had supreme confidence in Dr. Kahn's ability to understand my needs and guide me to a comfortable choice. I highly recommend.
