Dr. Stuart Waldstreicher, MD

I was supposed to do this a long time ago. Dr. Stuart Waldstreicher is one of the best Gastroenterologist ever. He received and cared for me as a friend. One time in 2016 he came to my draw station not feeling well and had to check on himself. I asked him to just close his office and go home. He said 'What about my patients? Who's going to take care of them? Most doctors will just shutdown their offices but He stayed for his patients. The passion, the love and the charisma Dr. Waldstreicher has to serve and care for his patients aren't so easy to see in others nowadays. I pray we could have more doctors like him. I also hope and pray that God will bless this man for the love his has for his calling. God bless you Dr. Waldstreicher even if I'm no longer in CT, I will always keep you in my prayers.

I must have caught him on a bad day. He was very dismissive with me. I will never go back to him again.

was scheduled for a procedure with twilight. He tells me in the room you fdo not need it it won't be that painful. I responded than we will not be doing the procedure. Also his front staff is extremely rude and aggressive

I've been working with Dr. Waldstreicher now for 4 months. As a 22 year old woman I have been in and out of the hospital for the past two years with gastro related issues. Dr. Waldstreicher helped me get to the root of my issues, and not only manage them, but successfully rid of them. He has never given up on finding the root cause, by performing a number of procedures and tests to gain further insight. I am grateful to him for helping me during a hard time, and always working hard to help me feel comfortable, informed, and valued. I currently live in New York City, but commute in just to see him! Worth the trip!

Dr. Waldstreicher is great. He explained the procedures I had and his findings in a clear and easily understandable manner. He used pictures to showcase the points he is making and that allowed me to visualize what was going on with me, and as such removed the gaps in my understanding. I waited 2 minutes and I was in. So, he is also prompt. Has a great bedside manner and demeanor.

My visit with Dr. Waldstreicher was informative and to the point. He and his nurse are professional, kind and compassionate. His office staff welcoming and fast. Waiting period was less than 5 minutes. I’m very grateful to them.

My experience with Dr. Waldstreicher, and his staff, had been excellent. His knowledge, compassion, explanation of the procedure and the result are bar none. Gastrological issues are not something that one can feel comfortable with, but he makes you feel relaxed from the time of initial visit, the procedure, follow up visit and any additional treatment, if necessary. I am thankful for being his patient for a decade or so.

Dr. Waldstreicher exudes every quality you’d want in a doctor, credentials, expertise, comprehensiveness and compassion, and his staff at every level shares the same qualities and care. He called with normal biopsy results himself, further ensuring you’re in HIS medical care. He and his staff were so incredibly kind the day of my procedure, recognizing that I was scared and assuring me I was in good hands. Would recommend him again and again.

I would recommend Dr. Waldstreicher highly to others because he and his office staff went over and beyond when I sought help for my husband. He was experiencing a lot of symptoms that needed urgent care. I did not want to take him to an ER so I called this office and quickly was seen . Other offices were unwilling to see him right away. Dr. Waldstreicher quickly got him the testing necessary and was very professional and comforting. His practice is family oriented and compassionate to patients.

There will never be enough words to say how grateful I am to Dr.. Waldstreicher. After years of being misdiagnosed, I found myself in his office for a second opinion upon very high recommendations from other patients and two staff members, Geri Callahan and Taylor Zito. I was sent for a CT Scan & with that Dr. Waldstreicher found what was bothering me, referred me to a Vacular Surgeon, I am now 3 weeks post op surgery and feel amazing! Beyond Forever Grateful!!!! I have had the privilege of being a patient of Dr. Waldstreicher for over 20 years. One could not ask for a doctor more knowledgeable, compassionate or cutting edge who truly cares for his patients. I cannot imagine having anyone else I would trust as completely to be responsible for my care, and unhesitatingly recommend him wholeheartedly -- he is most deserving!

I would recommend Dr. Waldstreicher to anyone needing the services of a Gastroenterologist. He is caring, compassionate, professional and takes as much time as necessary after a procedure to explain his findings and diagnosis. Dr. Waldstreicher took the time, sat with me, and explained with pictures how sometimes polyps are missed, which was a major concern since it happened to a friend who had colonoscopy in NYC. Dr. Waldstreicher is not only brilliant but explains everything so it's easy to understand, plus he has the BEST bedside manner, and discusses results when you're awake after the procedure, then a personal phone call after pathology. His surgical staff were so nice and made me extremely comfortable too!

I am in the healthcare industry so finding a good doctor for person issues is very important. I want a great diagnostician with great bedside manners who will give me personal service and answer all my questions. Dr. Waldstreicher is such a doctor specializing in GI. I highly recommend him. He is wonderful very caring, and takes time to explain things on your level. I wish there were more doctors like him
