Not Recommended
I showed up on time for my appointment and was told I would have to wait two and a half hours to see the doctor. I do not recommend this doctor.

Miraculous! And the journey was easy
Dr. Bhatia has been our family ophthalmologist for about 15 years! Originally I scheduled regular appointments with him to monitor eye health, dry (allergic) eyes, and accuity updates. Recently, more serious issues that led to surgery and lens replacement. He is kind, thoughtful & thorough in his approach. He answers questions & responds sensitively to patient anxiety. He knows his profession, is current in procedures, & has a wide range of experience as is evidenced by his history in treating patients, serving university settings & in hospital leadership. He included me in conversation about next best steps. My sister & my cousin are his patients & told me their surgery was a MIRACLE. The same for me! His assistant Erica is talented & proficient & like, Dr. Bhatia is kind and patient. His office is small and intimate. You are known there (no factory atmosphere). If you seek GREAT ophthalmologic care, call Dr. Bhatia.

Awesome doctor and great care
Brought in my dad after seeing 4 other ophthalmologists for a corneal infection and am glad we found Dr. Bhatia. The office staff was professional and the doctor answered all of our questions very thoroughly with a clear action plan for treatment. Making the appointment was very easy. My dad is feeling much better and will definitely be coming back for the glaucoma surgery.

Excellent Work Ethics, Diligent &Thorough.
Dr. Bhatia is very knowledgeable in the field of Opthamology. . He explains very well and clears any doubts regarding vision or surgery and one feels at ease when consulting him. He does not rush when seeing his patients and examines them thoroughly. Appointments are very convenient and can be rescheduled at ease. I wish he had longer hours and more days in the Irving office. Keep up the good work. We need more doctors like him who are so hard working and exceptionally thorough.

I recommend Dr. Bhatia
I have inflammation in my eyes and have been treated by my optometrist and ophthalmologist in LA for many years with limited success. I moved to Dallas a couple of years ago and was referred by my neighbor to Dr. Bhatia. He is excellent. He answered all of my questions and also let me know why I keep having the inflammation. I have had to wait for him on some occasions but that is the price you pay sometimes for a good doctor who is in demand. He has really helped me improve and given references for other doctors when I needed in the area which I have found to be very helpful. It is clear he cares about his patients! His staff is very helpful as well.

My sons and I have been going to Dr. Bhatia since 2009 and he has been amazing the whole time and always tells me everything that is going on with my eyes (I have diabetes). Both of my parents had their cataract surgeries done with Dr. B and have had stellar results. The front desk staff are very friendly. I had to reschedule twice and it was no problem. Highly recommend.

Worst doctor ever
about the patients time and does not even have the patience or time to explain the tests that he is asking to be done . When I brought that up , he was super arrogant and just. Refunded my money after dilating my eyes . Being a doctor is not just about your medical skills but also ethics . He might be. A great doctor , but if he is a HORRIBLE HUMAN soul , it just ruins the time and mental peace of patients who look up to get the care and guidance .

I cannot say enough great thinks about Dr Bhatia and his staff. I had negative -17.25 prescription (Coke bottles glasses) and today I have 20/20 vision. I can’t explain what it is like to take the eyes patch off and be able to see. He is very very good at what he does. I highly recommend Dr Bhatia. It was very emotional for me and I had tears of joy to be able to see clearly.

Dr Bhatia is very thorough in his examination. He checks all angles that may show sign of abnormally while explaining clearly any question you would have. He is calm and cool, make you feel relaxed and comfortable while your eyes are being looked at. His office is neat, modern, yet not impersonal. One of the best Opthamologists I have had.

I made an appointment fo see Dr. Bhatia in his Irving office last week. My first encounter with the lady at the front desk by the name of JAIRA was very disappointing. She was rude and did not pay much attention to me as she was having a long conversation on her phone. I have seldom seen someone at the front desk with such a negative attitude. When I asked her her name she would NOT give it to me. I got it from the other lady working there. Perhaps she has been working there too long. I had called in the morning on the day of the appointment and given all my insurance info which someone checked out and said it was OK. It was a very disappointing experience and I decided to NOT consult this doctor. The lady in question needs some training in customer service. Even her desk was highly unorganized which a turn off at first sight. I was a new patient. F. Khan Irving, Tx 9/15/2019

I have been so impressed with Dr. Bhatia. It's so rare these days to find a 'caring' caregiver, in any field of medicine. And to find one so knowledgeable, and caring, is an even rarer thing. Dr. Bhatia takes time to explain everything and work through your options with you. He has performed surgery on both of my eyes and was absolutely professional, personal, and thorough. When a doctor suggests a more inexpensive lens option, you know you have a doctor of character, and not a salesman!

Very disappointed in this experience. Long wait, dirty office, dr was dismissive and rude. Don't ask questions unless you want to be told you will be discharged as a patient. A worried mother will ask questions, and a competent doctor will answer them. "I wish you were in the medical field so you could understand this terminology"...Dr Bhatia has no idea my level of education. He actually refused to treat my daughter and retracted his plan of care after b
