Her office said it was time for my colonoscopy which i had every 5 years. Becasue I had done one a year and a half before I had a lot of trouble getting my colonoscopy paid for by insurance. Then to add insult to injury Dr Magee said it was so clean I have to now wait 10 years for one. We have history of colon cancer and she has negatively impacted my screening. I am 65 years old and my life expectancy is 75 years old if I don;t die from colon cancer first.RUN FROM HER!!!!!

Poor bedside manners
I've read how she was compassionate and caring yet that wasn't my experience. Dr. Magge is knowledgeable; however, she's not very patient friendly particularly to those she may not find physically appealing. She performed both my endoscopy and a colonoscopy on the same day, and I expressed concern about not being intubated as there are times when my soft palate may hang too low and block my airway. Her reply? That is due to I being overweight. If she would've asked a few simple questions like when did this happen, and what could've led to this, she would've learned this was the result of my tonsils being extracted instead of employing lazy medicine. I don't have any conditions such as diabetes, or high blood pressure which I'm genetically predisposed due to heredity on my father's side. Although we played phone tag for at least 2 months, I finally spoke to one of her assistants regarding my endoscopy results.

Dr. Magge listens and patiently examines while incorporating all the information to make highly intelligent, compassionate, conservative and helpful recommendations. Always mindful of the whole patient, she doesn’t over power you with authority despite her incredible intellect. quite a special doctor! I just had a colonoscopy and she couldn’t have been more kind and thorough.
