Doctor minimizes reported symptoms & misdiagnosis
I had seen this doctor as my primary care physician for many years for routine care. During this time I was never really sick. I was satisfied as I felt we had a mutually respectful relationship. I felt he listened to me. In 2023 I became quite ill. When I shared a list of my physical symptoms to the doctor (nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite) he suggested that I needed to see a psychologist/psychiatrist. He stated this during two different appointments. I felt as if he were totally minimizing my physical symptoms, making me feel worse than I already felt. I was sad he treated me so disrespectfully as he'd been my doctor for 14 years. Here I was quite ill, yet I felt lost as I didn't trust my doctor to help me anymore. When I told my symptoms to a new doctor, she immediately ordered tests. I was diagnosed post-biopsy with gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach lining. If left unchecked, it often leads to stomach cancer. I'm grateful that I found a doctor who believed me.

Dr. Mahajan refused to refill a medication I had been on for 30 years. Within 48 hours I was in the hospital with a cardiac emergency. At a follow up visit he screamed and yelled at me like it was my fault. NEVER trust this man.

I am filing complaints w/the Medical Board of CA, State of California, Medicare, Joint Comission. In my experience, please, consider yourself lucky if he has not designated you to die, yet; and the Nurse Practitioner in his office follows his lead. Nurses at HDMC stood in fear. Just one of the "questionable" acts: One nurse even questioned him to increase the insulin scale as I was having 500 blood sugars, he said NO! She was upset and perplexed (I was concerned, but so ill could not advocate for myself). In the admission and discharge summary he omits any reference to abnormal EKG and other abnormal results in a 2Decho done in-pt; then telling me it was normal. A year later, I discover the 2DEcho not normal and discover 2 abnormal EKGs obscured; THERE'S MORE. Consider yourself lucky; be aware, you could be next (hearing of others not so lucky); he fabricates medical records; at my first visit-what he wrote does not apply to my health status then. WOW!

Dr Mahajan was my elderly parents primary care doctor for about five years prior to their passing. He was always so helpful and receptive when seeing them. Our family never had any experiences we were unhappy with. We never felt rushed. He took his time to address any of our questions or concerns. The office staff was great in scheduling or billing. My daughter is an RN and has chosen Dr Mahajan as her primary care doctor as I have also. I would highly recommend him.

Been going to Dr Mahajan for several years now and find a reasonable staff and marginal front desk, however they will not be going out of their way to provide what I would consider good customer service. The doctor is very forgetful and you never know which Doctor M is going to show up that day, the caring dr or the grouchy dr. Dr M will not be going out of his way for his patients and you may find yourself explaining things over and over. Also, he seems prone to want to spend your money on

I have been a patient of Dr. Mahajan for a few years now. When I first came to Dr. Mahajan, I was so sick I thought I was going to die. I couldn't breathe, or get out of bed, but Dr. Mahajan listened and put me on the right medications. I'm a different person now. Thank you, Dr. Mahajan, for helping me live a more productive and healthy life.

Doctor Mahajan and I use the term doctor loosely, has never done anything for me as far as exams or any normal minimal things I would expect from a doctor. He ordered blood tests the first time I saw him. I have never heard the results. I have seen him 3 or 4 times since. I have some issues that would show up in the blood tests. He takes the minimum amount of time with me. I have asked him to order a test I needed and he said flat-out No. I have no idea what his problem is. Maybe it's just me.
