She is very professional, very good at her job, and efficient. I would recommend her for Mohs surgery, she did a great job in my face!

Doctor Suneeta Walia, MD has performed day surgery on me periodically for the past three years. Her surgical practice is managed in an excellent manner, from in processing by her nurses and through the surgical procedure. From start to finish I had the feeling that I was in the hands of a very skilled surgeon and very capable nurses. In addition Dr. Walia’s front desk staff were friendly and attentive, and the environment was very clean and well maintained. I could not have asked for a better outcome. If you are in need of surgical services, it has been my experience that Doctor Walia will attend to your medical needs in a very thorough and professional way, and you will be happy with the outcome.

Dr. Walia and her staff communicate with the patient before, during, and after the Mohs surgery. They continuesly do that so you know exactly what is going on. This makes you more comfortable and less nervous which is very important to the patient. Many doctors and staff only cover the general aspects of what they are doing and do not go into the detail that Dr. Walia and her staff go into. They put the patient first!!!!

I never thought I would be treated so poorly by an Ochsner physician. I had a consult with Dr. Walia and she spent less than 10 minutes with me. She seemed personally offended when I asked questions. I have skin cancer and wanted to know what to expect from Mohs surgery and she seemed annoyed. She barely even looked at me and explained the procedure in less than 3 minutes. She charted that she explained things that she never even said to me. It was an awful experience. There was no compassion or empathy. I felt disrespected and dismissed. I have never had this type of experience with an Ochsner physician and I am left questioning her ability as a physician.

Unfortunately I’ve had several MOHS procedures. Dr. Walia and her team are remarkable. They are organized, efficient, compassionate. I trust them completely and some of my surgeries have been very complicated. I recommend her whole heartedly.

I was taken in right away upon my arrival. I was treated politely and professionally. My surgery was pain free. I received instructions on what to do following my surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Walks and her staff.

After diagnosis’ and before surgery, I had the opportunity to visit another dermatologist ( out of Ochsner’s network) for an unrelated problem. When discussing the impending surgery, I mentioned Dr Walia’s name and got a glowing recommendation, as in “she’s very good”. I can not disagree. From start to finish Dr Walia and her staff were very friendly and informative on what was being done and what to expect next. I don’t look forward to any type of surgery but I can’t imagine what could have been done to make it any easier.

Dr. Walia and her “team” were so pleasant,professional and caring, Just the word” Cancer” is stressful but their approach and attention to detail along with patients comfort is greatly appreciated.

This is my third surgery with Dr. Walia and in my opinion she is a great surgeon. She has put together a team that is extremely professional and very pleasant. Frankly I would not entertain going anywhere else for this type of surgery.

She has a wonderful bedside manner, and makes you feel comfortable and confident in the treatment she will provide. She and her staff work together to provide a high level of care while caring for you as a person not just a diagnosis, from the time you enter the treatment room to the time you leave. I feel very blessed to have come under the care of this physician.
