Do Yoo is only about data and NOT the patient. She only spends a few minutes with the patient and then dismisses what they have to say or their ideas from research as to reasons for certain symptoms - will not even entertain any other ideas. She told me that how I felt and what I was experiencing didn't matter, it was only the test data that mattered. I had to wait 5 months to get in to see a doc at their practice - in the meantime ran out of meds and had to go to another doc to get RX filled while waiting for an appointment. She is very cold and doesn't know about other sources and reasons for lab tests showing what they are - seems like she hasn't done any more research or reading into the topic area after getting out of med school. Will RUN to a new providor.

I have been seeing Dr. Sung-Eun Yoo for over 2 years now for Thyroid problems. Most recently she diagnosed me with Hashimoto's disease. She prescribed .075 mg of Levothyroxine and I have been taking it since October 2019. I started having stomach cramps and diarrhea. I contacted her office and three days later no one has called me back. I did speak with her office staff who were very nice and told me that they sent the information to her concerning my issue but she had not responded. I was told that she has many patients. I talked with her nurse and was told he could not do anything, and that I had to talk to her. I went to see my primary care doctor and he told me that Dr. Yoo should have rechecked my blood within one month of my taking the increased dosage of Levothyroxine. I am really concerned about my health and feel like she let me down as I entrusted my care to her.

I have been seeing Dr. Yoo for 2 years now. When she originally diagnosed me with Hashimoto's, she eased my worries by telling me that she would work with me to find the root cause & treat my symptoms holistically once we got my levels under control. Fast forward two years, and I am still dealing with extreme fatigue, weight gain, hair loss etc. All she has done is increase my Synthroid dosage when my levels are low, and when my levels aren't low but I still have symptoms, she completely ignores my concerns. When she changes my dosage, she still schedules my follow-up blood work 6 months out which is grounds for malpractice! Any change in medication should have a 6-8 week follow-up. In one example, my levels swung to the hyper-side and I had a RHR over 100 for a week. I tried to contact her office and left multiple voicemails, but no one returned my call, so I had to go to urgent care who had me get off my medication IMMEDIATELY due to the risk of HEART FAILURE.

I have been seeing Dr. Yoo for several years after trying others. She is highly intelligent, knowledgeable, pleasant, and explains everything to the patients' understanding. She is persistent at getting patients to the best possible level of health. I am puzzled by a couple of reviews since I saw Dr. Yoo a minimum of 4 times a year and have never been asked to change an appointment or had a problem changing one myself. I was also late once and had no problem. Was the issue chronic lateness?

I've been a patient of Dr. Yoo for 4 years. The office repeatedly calls me the day before or day of my appointment and asks me to reschedule which I try to be as accommodating as my work schedule allows. Today I called to reschedule an appointment for next week and was told I would be dropped as a patient if I had to reschedule. I will be finding a new doctor that has a staff capable of properly scheduling appts and respecting that they are not the only ones who should be allowed to reschedule.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yoo for over 10 years for Addison's Disease. In that time, her practice has grown significantly, a testimony to her caring approach, kind personality, and expertise in endocrinology. Her staff at her new location is caring, attentive, professional and courteous. Dr. Yoo is always pleasant and professional, yet gives you her full attention during your appointment--never rushed. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for an outstanding endocrinologist.

I had been a patient at Dr. Yoo's office for about a year and I never really had a problem until last week. I called the office to advise that I was on may for my appointment, but running a few minute behind, the girl that answered told me I would have to reschedule and there would be a $50 fee for me not showing. Apparently this is their office policy, but when I tried to explain that I had never been late before and I wasn't trying to miss my appointment, the girl was very disrespectful.
