Dr. Sunita Shailam, MD

As a new patient of Dr. Shailam, I have been truly impress by her thoroughness and her careful assessment of my medical history. She listens carefully and seems to truly want to take care of the whole-body health of her patients. I am grateful that Doctors like Dr. Shailam still exist and people can get real honest to goodness HEALTHcare through their HMOs.

Dr. Shailam has been my primary care physician for the last 5 years. I'm typically able to make an appointment to see her within 24 hours and, alongside her amazing office assistant, Jorge, she provides thorough, attentive, top-notch health care!

I love Dr. Shailam and her personable yet professional style. She helped me on many levels. More than I expected:) On the one hand, she has the background, experience, and board certified western medical training and license, on the one hand, but when you get in front of her, you get a lot more than just an MD. In addition to the state of the art equipment, labs, and tests, when Dr. Shailam saw me, I felt like she actually cared about me and my health. Not just another Mercedes payment if you know what I mean. And she treated me like a family member, not just a number. She schedules fewer patients than most doctors, so that we don’t have to wait, and she can take adequate quality time with me. She asked me about healthy diet, being in nature, how the quality of my relationships affects my health, exercise and positive use of my mind. I highly recommend you give her a try if you want to upgrade your experience of being supported in your health or helped in your healing.

Very thorough Cares for the whole patient

During my first appt with Dr Shailam and her clinical manager Jorge, they spent the necessary time and care understanding and documenting my medical history, current state meds concerns etc, and prescribing a health plan that includes nutrition, exercise and some "short term" prescriptions to get me to optimal health. Also recommend reading by Deepak Chopra. Everything was explained clearly with some visual aids. I left the visit feeling positive and energized about agreed upon plan and goals.
