Dr. Sunita Trivedi, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Trivedi for seven years, and I was told in November 2024, she will be joining Lahey Clinic's Weight Loss Center. I hope her patients will also appreciate her as I have.Sometimes she has seemed a bit aloof, but she has always promptly responded to messages left through her online service and always been willing to discuss situations at length in my office visits. I've never once doubted her medical knowledge or commitment to her patients. She has been a great help in managing my medical issues, including knowing when to bring in a specialist when an issue needs a better look.I don't know exactly what role she'll play at Lahey, but whatever she's doing, I'm confident she'll do it well. She took care of my health well, and she will take care of yours also.

Dr. Trivedi is the WORST doctor I have ever seen! She is RUDE. And I don’t mean she is a cold professional doctor. She is flat out RUDE! Tells you that you are wrong, cuts you off when you are talking, acts like she can’t be bothered to be there and just makes you feel like you are DUMB! If she could spend less time with you, she would! She never reads your file before she walks in and is surprised when you bring something up she should know! She told me while I was pregnant and had morning sickness that I needed to eat, and said NOW is not the time to diet? Wow who knew! Then proceeded to tell me she did not eat much when she was pregnant and that is why her child is super short. WHAT? She is over a foot and a half shorter than I am…… my husband is over 6 inches taller than me. Lady, have you heard of genetics? And when I said that, she said i was wrong. And way to go fat shamming a pregnant woman! She won’t help you get on medication or see other doctors!!! Stay FAR away!!!

I have recommended Dr. Trivedi to my family and friends. she is attentive and very kind. This review is for me ,and a lady that I take care of. She has done a lot of good things for Anne, and her health is now top notch. She was on unnecessary medications at some point, and all those were discontinued. Her family is very satisfied at how well she is doing. Doctor Trivedi did a referral to specialty Doctor, and that is how I knew she does such a great job because this physician commented at how thorough she was after checking the patients file. I have never been treated this poorly from any professional person before! She has strong beliefs about what you should and should not do and pushes these on you and does not want to listen to the patient's concerns. She interrupes and cuts you off when she does not like what you are saying/asking. She told me that I can either do what she says or find a new doctor (this was in references to having panic attacks). She made statements such as, 'If you don't like what I say you can find another physician,' 'You know I did you a favor getting you an appointment,' and 'If this [her being my doctor] doesn't work, it doesn't work. No big deal.' DO NOT SEE HER. She does not want to listen and work as a team to make health decisions.

I only gave one star because I could not give ZERO!!! I have had this doctor for a few years now. I have had enough and looking for a new PCP. she has absolutely ZERO compassion for her patients. I went to see her recently to explain how I was feeling depressed and was asking for any type of direction or help.. she patted me on the back said " tough life " and gave me a Psych hand out! More recently, I have had a few medical issues and she is quick to blame everything on weight (mind you im 5'5 180) and instead of trying to figure out what the issue is she just fires off referrals to specialists (why does she care she's not paying my co-pay) I could go on and on about how out of date her medical knowledge is and furthermore how rude and pushy she is! STAY AWAY!!

Stay away.

I went to see Dr. Trivedi about pain behind my knee and down my leg. She was rude and told me to 'Hurry Up" when I asked questions. She treated me like an idiot because I had concerns about blood clots in my leg. She basically laughed it off, saying that she would order an ultrasound if that would make me feel better. I was so upset, I got in my car and cried. I was in excruciating pain that night, the next morning, I FIRED her, called a New Doctor and he immediately sent me for an ultrasound. DO NOT use Doctor Sunita Trivedi, she has no compassion, no empathy, rushes through the exam and doesn't take you seriously. She is horrible. That was my experience.

Dr. Trivedi has been my doctor for more then ten years. She is caring and responsive to my needs, yet always completely professional. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor.

Dr. Trevedi has always been there to give me the care I needed. She listens and examines you very thoroughly. I feel very safe under her care and strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a new PC.

Dr. Trivedi cancelled an appointment with me for a physical & rescheduled me over a year later. Since then, I had an issue and needed an ultrasound. When I called, I was told Dr. Trivedi had no openings. Since I have a history with this med condition, the nurse said that she would check with Dr. Trivedi so she could order an ultrasound . Dr. Trivedi refused to order the ultrasound because I hadn't seen her in over a year...went to urgent care and they needed her to order it, she still refused.

On July 7th I called in Sunita Trivedi office to let them know about insurance company change and also I told them I needed a refill for prescription. July 13th I went to my pharmacist and asked for a refill and they told me that I needed prior-authorization. I called my doctors and told them about the situation and I had medication until Monday. They took a note on it. Next tuesday, I call in my doctors office. I learn that the prior-authorization request was send on Monday, the day I ran out

Dr. Trivedi does not listen to her patients, and does not care about your past medical history. She will only care for you the way that she believes is right, not what has worked for you in the past. She has no Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, so scheduling an appointment when you are sick is an absolute NIGHTMARE! Once you finally get an appointment, they make you feel like you are supposed to be thanking them up and down for double booking you into their day!! Do not recommend!

Dr. Trivedi provided me great care over a period of years - she was pragmatic, down-to-earth, kind, and open. I never felt rushed in our appointments - she always gave me her undivided attention. She followed up on medical issues but did not order unnecessary tests. I am disappointed that her practice no longer accepts my insurance because I was so pleased with her care.
