Double Carpel Tunnel Surgery
Dr. Berdia was the best Doctor and Surgeon I have ever met.I came in for a Carpel Tunnel problem in both wrists, and he diagnosed the Cause of the problem and repaired both my wrists with Surgery. He diagnosed me, when none of the other doctors could do so. I went to multiple other doctors and had over 50 diff. X-Rays, Blood Tests, and Consultations, and none of them looked closely enough at the Results, until Dr. Berdia did so.Dr. Berdia is very Talented and Intelligent. The double Carpal Tunnel Surgery I had left Zero Visable Scars and Relieved me of pain immediately and avoided my hands from being almost permanently damaged.Thank you Dr. Berdia.Max

Rushed and disinterested
Rushed, disinterested in the patient, did not ask any questions nor offer solutions or curiosity for concerns raised. Spent a grand total of 2.5 mins in the room. Hardly made eye contact and yawned, didn’t ask about meds I’ve been prescribed , his ? resident did this. Not sure who other person was; never introduced but part of speedy consultation. I notice across Dr Berdia’s reviews that negative feedback is consistent with mine- rushed, lack of care and interest. The positive feedback reveals the ability to care for a patient and actually treat them like a human being. When I complained he seemed to be able to bring forth a better version of himself -while using language that was dismissive. Perhaps if your condition is deemed “serious” he engages more or perhaps it is some other socio demographic characteristic of the patient. But the inconsistency is problematic and if he thinks he’s offered a solution, but his bedside manner is so poor, a lack of trust from a patient is inevitable

Not good. Was rushed always. Did not take time to ask questions or even talk about my hand. Huge bills were submitted to insurance. Pushed to schedule PR with their practice. The PT folks did precious little and sent a huge bill. I did not go back.

I was suffering from debilitating shoulder pain for 4.5 years and saw multiple shoulder surgeons. Prognosis was Scapula Bursitis with Winging Scapula and I was told other than injections (which did not help) there was only one surgeon in the DC Metro area that dealt with this. I met with Dr. Berdia and he ran imaging and did further testing. Based on his experience, we agreed on Scapula Bursectomy surgery and during surgery he also found a large bone spur (spike as he called it) that was causing all my issues which never showed up on MRI imaging. Surgery was a tremendous success and I am very grateful for his skills in this area. My scapula is back to normal and all my pain in the back and neck is gone. His persona is fantastic, friendly and he is very thorough in his medical advice. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone dealing with Scapula, Bursitis or other shoulder issues.

Dr. Berdia is thoughtful, kind, and thorough. I've seen him for a fractured wrist, carpal tunnel (both wrists), wrist ganglion removal and shoulder impingement. I simply can't imagine a more brilliant doctor.

Dr. Berdia is one of the best hand and wrist orthopedists I've ever visited (I've visited many). He is a consummate professional at all times, and cares about his patients' outcomes. He is at a great stage in his career. I have had two wrist fractures, one very delicate with ten breaks, and I don't have any lingering pain from it. The scars on both wrists are invisible. A second recent fracture occurred seven years after the first. I immediately went to Dr. Berdia. I highly recommend him and his team (anesthesiologists and postoperative nurses), all superb professionals. Dr. Berdia and his postoperative teams give me both the tools and confidence to heal properly and with no lingering issues.

Dr. Sunjay Berdia has been my Orthopedic Specialist for years now. I had several removal of ganglion cysts from both my right and left fingers as the result of my Arthritis and they all went well. Dr. Berdia is very attentive to details and will explain to me everything I need to know about my hands' conditions and I do appreciate him for that. I also respect his honesty in telling me how these ganglion cysts came about and that recurring conditions may occur due to my Arthritis. I recommend Dr. Berdia's expertise to any patients dealing with the same conditions I have.

Dr. Berdia repaired a torn tendon in my wrist, which turned out to be a more serious tear and more complicated surgery than expected. He explained my options and guided me through the process during a scary time (never anticipated having an elective surgery during a pandemic). He is kind, thorough, and an all-around excellent orthopedist and surgeon. Also, the PT staff are fantastic! I am 100% better now and am grateful for the excellent care.

My left thumb developed great discomfort. Dr. Berdia recommended a cortisone injection into the first joint. I felt no pain as the needle was inserted into the joint and he got the tip exactly where he wanted it. All in all not much worse than a flu shot. Best of all, the pain he told me to expect for up to three days has yet to materialize, while my pain symptoms have dramatically diminished. He has backed up his high regard with an outstanding injection.

Dr. Berdia treated my son who sustained a fractured wrist. He went above and beyond to support our family by expediting x-rays, appointments, and his surgery. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, he also has a great bedside manner, communicates well with his team, and really makes you feel at ease. His physical therapist, Sonali, was also wonderful and paramount in how fast and well he recovered. I would highly recommend Dr. Berdia and his practice!

Ten years ago, Dr. Berdia worked on my left hand and I haven't had pain since. Today, he assessed my right hand and quickly pinpointed the problem. I trust him immensely and have referred my sister and friends to have over the years -- all satisfied patients!
