Condescending
He minimized every symptom, was rude, insulting, insinuated that I deserve the pain I'm in because I must have treated my body badly and offered only one option despite telling him at multiple visits that the side effects were intolerable.

I have been a patient with Dr Patel for ten years. He diagnosed me with RA when I was 22. He is extremely knowledgeable and worked with me to get the inflammation under control. I moved from Florence to Myrtle Beach, but I still drive an hour and a half every three months to stay with Dr Patel. He is highly recommended!

He does not listen well. I provided him a list of about 15 symptoms that I have been experiencing over the past 5 years, and his only advice was to talk to my primary about adhd...for the one symptom of trouble focusing. He did not ask any questions about family history etc. When asked about all my other symptoms, he could not give me an actual answer. Currently needing to get a second opinion.

I have been a patient of Dr. Patel's for 16 or 17 years. He has always been caring, listens to all of my medical problems, and offers advice and prescribes medications as needed. I wouldn't go to another Rheumatologist unless Dr. Patel moves or I move. Also love Virginia at the front desk. Loved Eloise his former nurse and current nurse Chakita.

I had a much more positive experience than what I’ve read on these reviews. This is the first rheumatologist that I’ve seen in years that actually believes I have fibromyalgia and it’s not all in my head. Also, I do have arthritis. He had a very caring demeanor and only wanted me to feel better. The medication he put me on has been the best so far. It is off label put has helped me the most. Therefore, he’s thinking outside the box so to speak. He spent the time he needed to with me.

I really wish there was a negative choice because this office failed me beyond belief. I am Deaf. I requested an interpreter for my appointment, offered a number, and it was declined. They said they have their own service that they use. My appointment day there was not an interpreter. I asked them to check if she was running late. They said nothing to me at all. They didn't tell me there wouldn't be one. They did not run the tests they said they had... they had no doctors notes bad

Ive been going to Dr Patel for quite some time now. He's always been nonchalant and doesn't seem to care about anything. He's rude and doesn't take the time to explain much of anything regarding your diagnosis. He thinks he know everything and he feels hatbother doctors are always wrong. You can tell him that your experiencing symptoms from your diagnosis and he'll tell you that it's not because of that. His bedside manner is poor.

Barely touched me or examined me, offered NO new testing or suggestions, and decided that multiple other doctors were "wrong" in their assessment of my health. Absolute waste of time! I waited FIVE months to get in there, drove over an hour and waited 2 hours to be seen and was actually told "there is nothing I can do for you"!!! Sorry, I thought this was your specialty, my bad!

He doesn't provide treatment plan or explain his diagnosis. I have yet to start therapy and it just feels like getting better is not a concern for him. Every visit is like the first visit.
