Amazing passionate doctor
She is kind and listens to you. Yes there are long wait times sometimes but it’s because she cares and takes time to listen to her patients and to give them the best care. I was with my PCP for over 20 years and I switched DRs cause she was closer and in 3 months I been with her I have felt more compassion and understanding from her then I did with my dr I had for over 20 years I deff recommend her as a PCP u won’t find a better doctor in Charleston

Dr. Cavender is a wonderful physician! The best. It is hard to find a doctor so dedicated today. She listens to her patients, and does not rush you. She cares. She truly cares about her patient’s health. She also has perfect bed side manners. I have been a patient of Dr. Susan Cavender for years now, and she is just as thorough and caring now, as she was when I first made an appointment with her. I cannot say enough good things about her! She is the best! She is intelligent and professional. I just thank God that she is my doctor. She has helped me with my health much! Dr. Cavender is definitely in the right profession! I am grateful to her.

It is unfortunate that when a patient complains of shortness of breath, no labs or x-rays are ordered, and no further questions addressing symptoms. This patient now has been diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer, when perhaps if complaints/symptoms were acknowledged when reported, this disease would not have progressed to this point. Perhaps the mass would not have been as large, lymph node involvement nonexistent, treatment only palliative, and shortness of breath and coughing so severe, activities of daily living unbearable. We do not want this to happen to another person, so if you choose to visit this provider, please make sure all your questions and concerns are addressed in a timely fashion.

As a new patient I feel extremely fortunate to have been given a rare opportunity to become one. Dr. Cavendar is not only compassionate, she is extremely thorough and brilliant. She practices and provides healthcare the way it was done many years ago-the best way! The wait is well worth it. I see why all of her patients have such great admiration for her and her staff.

Dr. Susan Cavendar Susan is one of the best Doctor's I have ever been to. I have been going to her for several years now. She truly has a compassion for the health care industry. In all the times I have been in her office, she has never came into the office and tried to rush me out like most Doctor's do.. She takes great pride in her patient's and really cares about them. This last year I could have died if she could have not got involved with the others Doctor's during that time. wonderful lady
