Dr. Susan Lotkowski, DO

I've had a very positive experience with Dr. Lotkowski as my Neurologist, and Ms Jackson, Nurse Practitioner. Both provide an excellent level of care, they listen when I discuss my medical issues, and they are compassionate. I recommend both to anyone looking for excellent healthcare.

Bedside manner is decidedly brusk. Quick to prescribe, slow to explain.

I developed seizures and needed to see a neurologist quickly before I studied abroad for 4.5 months. This woman dismissed everything I had to say and provided me with random medication without explaining it. I went to study abroad and was hospitalized multiple times. I came back and immediately tried to talk to her about the situation. NO ONE ever answered me. I was having seizures regularly and calling her office every chance i could but no one would talk to me. Finally, I got an appointment and the nurse had the audacity to cancel it 2 HOURS AFTER the appointment was supposed to start. They claimed I was not urgent enough. (it was difficult to get a new doctor for insurance reasons) Finally, I found a new doctor and was diagnosed after 1 visit while it took Dr. Lotkowski 2 years and she still never diagnosed me.

Had no patience with my 85 year old dad with dementia.

Terrible experience, she didn't fill the seizure prescription properly and after 2 calls to her office it still isn't right. Our time has value, we won't be going back.

One of the worst doctors I’ve had the displeasure of meeting. I have had chronic health issues for 7 years, which severely worsened last September. I am fully disabled and desperate for help at this point. Was referred by 3 other specialists and my PCP to see a neurologist, which appts are hard to come by. Shouldve know this lady was going to be bad considering how quickly i could get an appt… but out of desperation i (25F) went to the appt and brought my parents for support. BTW everyone else in her office were angels, so i dont blame them! But Dr Lotkowski walked in with the worst attitude EVER… Apathetic, Dismissive, and Disinterested. She spoke with me for less than 3 mins and completed NO EVALUATION and concluded there was nothing neurologically wrong with me cause she’d “already read my chart”. She then started to bash my PCP and dismissed my rare autoimmune condition. (which is 100% confirmed). So we had no choice but to walk out mid appt which we’ve never done. It was so bad.

The entire staff are always friendly and efficient. Dr Susan' nurse was wonderful. She was very friendly, professional. Dr. Susan was so caring , attentive to my 96 yr old dad. She was patient and answered any questions. Her smile and personality was calming and very professional. We were so happy with our visit

Completely disappointing appointment, total waste of time. Unprofessional staff, no introductions, no eye contact, speaking to a non-medical person in medical jargon and acted as though my mom was a “bother.” I have been in the medical field myself for more than 25 years and I would never approach patient care this way. There’s a reason an appointment was available so quickly. Will not follow up. Would never recommend her to family, friends or my own patients. Will pursue a more professional experience. Patients are consumers, perhaps that would be something for Dr Lotkowski to consider.

Does not take the time to explain observations for you to understand. We feel rushed through the appointment and she is more focus on the computer rather than the patient. I understand she needs to take notes yet those observations or recommendations are not listed on the visit review or to family members to help their love ones. I left there more confused and have no idea where my love one stands in the dementia spectrum or how she companies from six months ago. Needless to say we will be seeking care at another location.

Warm and helpful staff. Dr Susan is top notch in her field. I recommend her to anyone who needs good quality services in the field of neurolog . She sticks with the patient to ensure prescribed medications offer best quality of life outcome. She really cares!
