Great Visit
I came to Dr. Pittman after disappointing relationships with my primary doctor. She was highly recommended by a friend. She updated my chart, spent time with me, explained medical jargon, and I felt like she truly was focused on my health, not her agenda. My last visit was more interested in focusing on what she had heard at her last medical treatment. I felt as though she wasn't focused on me.

She used to be my wife's Dr. I went with her a couple of times. She has the personality of a potato. She wanted to argue with my wife several times when my wife questioned her treatment ideas. I asked her questions that she didn't know the answer too and never offered to find out. I encouraged my wife to switch Drs. Her health is so much better now! I got the impression that she was just there to draw a paycheck and do as little as possible. Also the front end staff at this office are about the rudest and incompetent of any office I have ever been in. From losing faxes that were sent multiple times to trying to call you a liar when they changed their story and you told them that was not what you were told last time. There are probably good Drs here but the front end staff is reason enough to go elsewhere. If I could give "Dr" Pittman and the front end staff a zero I would but one is the lowest it goes.

I have had a long-standing career as a Ph.D. working in healthcare in different hospital settings. Also, I am African-American. I am unsure if that was the relevant factor. I fully knowledgeable regarding normal and expected medical care. Yesterday, I had the worst experience I have ever had in my adult life in my physical with her yesterday. I was treated as a nonhuman without compassion or care, with her asking nothing about factors in my current life, good or bad, that may have affected my life status. She mainly was invested in clicking the computer screen, offering no eye contact, contesting me if my answers did not coincide with options on the computer screen. Even in the exam, she gave the impression of not wanting to touch me. I will not go back to such a doctor, like her, who seems to lack compassion, empathy or care about me as a person. I am not just another number.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Pittman to anyone with a condition that can't be treated with textbook answers for common problems. She is not a creative solution-oriented person. Discourage strongly from seeking care from her if you have any type of chronic condition. If you are looking for a doctor who will listen to you, keep looking. She'll talk over you. And heaven forbid you go to her after exhausting common solutions to your problem, because she'll give up on treatment yet keep you as a patient.
