Don’t waste your time or money
Don’t waste your time or money! Disregarded my primary complaint and reason for consultation. Did not communicate any of my issues with me, instead focused on cystitis which is what her clinic primarily treats. When I ask the NP if the cystitis treatment will help with my issue she said no. NP tried helping with my issue but every time I showed up it was like we were talking about it for the first time and she forgot all of the things we had already tried and asked same questions over and over. Promised she would research my issue a couple times but did not follow through. Front office staff was always stressed and made you feel like a burden for calling or showing up. Dr Tate apparently refuses to speak to her patients on the phone so you just waste your time and money to speak to her in person if you have a need to communicate.

Dr. Tate is awesome, reception is horrible
While Dr. Tate and her NP Jan Ecklund are fantastic, the office staff is horrible. I have left 5 messages in hopes of scheduling an appointment for a much-needed treatment over the last couple of months. No one ever answers or calls back. As great as she is, I am seeking a new doctor. There had also been billing issues that took an in-office trip to sort out.

Dr. Tate is very thorough and makes certain that the proper steps, even rehab, are done prior to surgery. She runs all of the proper testing. She really gives 110+%! On top of that she and her staff are very friendly and explain everything in great detail. She will answer every question without making you feel rushed at all. Because of this the wait can be a bit long in the office however I found booking early am was key. I have recommended her to so many people.

I feel Dr Tate is an excellent doc. I have only good things to say about my medical treatment at the Breckenridge Lane office. HOWEVER: This office is TERRIBLE about communications. TERRIBLE. Either their phone system is critically flawed or the people staffing it are. I have repeatedly had trouble trying to leave a message. Replies to the email reminders they send out apparently are either not delivered or ignored. They supply no direct email address. A shame that a good doctor is saddled with this office. Especially with the current "wait in your car requirements" . . . in summer. . . when you have been promised "someone will be out soon" and 45 minutes later no one has appeared . . . and the phone isn't being answered . . . and you can't tell if your messages -- asking if everything is okay inside and when might someone actually appear -- have been delivered or not (though all indications are NOT.) The office is inexcusable. Office=1 star. Doc 5

Do yourself a favor and avoid this office. I'm a previous patient of Dr. Tate. I tried on several occasions to schedule an appt with Dr. Tate. I left messages on their voice mail, no one ever answers the phone, but no one called me back. I called again and left a not so pleasant voice mail and someone finally called me back, on my cell. I gave them my daytime phone # because I don't get good reception in our building on my cell phone. I ask her to call me back on my work #. She didn't. I called back again, left another voice mail, never to get a call back. Two months later I received a $50 charge for "No Show" appt. Twice I have called the # at the bottom of the billing statement, only to be told, "Someone will check into it and call me back." No call back received. I called direct to the office. I was told she will leave a message on the guys desk and he'll call me back. I ask when I could expect that call back. She said she wasn't even sure he was in today. GREAT!

Dr. Tate herself was great but the billing department is beyond terrible. I promptly paid my bill but have been continually sent the bill months afterwards. I've spoken to several people including the office manager who assured me that the issue would be taken care of but it has not been despite having paid the bill FIVE MONTHS previously.

Dr. Tate and her staff are very friendly with wonderful bedside manners. They make you feel comfortable, which is important for the reasons persons would be visiting her. The wait time is long-don't come expecting to be seen on time. The only trouble I have had is with their billing, and refund issues. Had to pay up front for surgery, which I had not planned on doing, but was desperate! And then took months to receive the refund owed back to me.

Dr. Tate is wonderful. She thoroughly explains everything she is doing or that needs to be done. She does NOT rush. You may have to wait in the waiting room, but she is worth the wait.

She is thorough. Examines all the issues and then actually sits down with you to discuss the findings. That's a first for me! Usually I get a one or two liner from a doctor and that's it. To have a doctor actually sit down explain, see if you have questions and make sure I understand, was quite different and really wonderful.

Dr. Tate is a fantastic surgeon with lots of experience! She truly cares about her patients. My surgery took a long time, but my recovery has been a great one. The nurse Leigh Ann and the rest of the office staff bend over backwards to make sure your experience is a good one. I would recommend Dr. Tate to any woman who is dealing with prolapse or other pelvic concerns. She works hard to make sure you heal the way you are supposed to. Thank you Dr. Tate and staff!

Pre-surgery care was thorough with good explanations. Office staff is very caring. After surgery care was greatly lacking in my opinion. Dr. Tate and her nurse work very hard, but may have too many patients to give proper attention to each one. Phone calls sometime not returned until 8:30 at night.
