Dr. Susan Thorne, MD

It took 3 weeks to get an appointment with her. I had 3 questions. She walked in late and said we have to move at lighting speed (3 times while typing at her computer). I was looking at her, and she said that because you have more questions than we usually do. You will probably need to get another appointment. All this before I said anything. I stood up, said, "Have a good day," and left. She said ok. Was my visit at "lightning speed" enough for you, Dr. Thorne?

While "covering" for my primary physician who was out of the office, she completely stopped my medication agreement overnight and created a new prescription plan before my scheduled oral surgeries. I was left scrambling and trying to make an urgent appt while I was working in the classroom. She overstepped her boundaries without speaking to me in person or meeting with me? I find it a safety concern and very careless.

Dr. Thorne is my mother's primary care, she is always responsive to any form of communication, she has taken the time to pick up the phone herself and called me multiple times to provide instruction and recommend care. I recently switched my father to her care from another doctor. I appreciate Dr. Thorne kind demeanor with my senior parents with fragile health.

11/11/21 I called because of chest pain (all day) back pain and elevated BP. I had a lot of anxiety because I was not receiving the care I needed and it was 7:40pm. Dr Thorne was extremely rude, did not read ANY of the notes despite this being the 3 time I had to call. Dr. Thorne interrupted me, did not ask careful questions, was challenging to the sx I reported, and was punitive over my symptoms of anxiety. Dr Thorne did not provide me with next steps or a clear preventative course of action, nor with the reassurance about my sx and the risk level of such. In fact, my conversation with Dr Throne conversation was detrimental to my MH and my anxiety, and increased my BP even more. Negligent and real bad client care, as impeding me to access preventative care measures.
