Extremely unprofessional with lackluster bedside manner. Dr. Collier did not introduce herself upon entering the room. My wife who was a previous patient of Dr. Collier was made to feel that her concerns were unjustified and related to anxiety of all things. The Dr. pointed to our 4 year old son sitting quietly next to my wife and implied that he was the cause of her stress and anxiety commenting "I don't have this in my life anymore" (pointing to my son), stating that her own children are grown and she would "never go back to that point in her life again." We do not understand how that has any bearing on wanting "blemishes" on the skin evaluated. My wife was so distraught over the interaction that she did not inquire about other areas of concern pertaining to her skin including a prior lesion that had been removed and is returning. I strongly recommend this review is taken to heart and that Dr. Collier will consider a different approach to her patient's concerns in the future.

A long run for a short slide
I went to a dermatology appt yesterday. One for which I had waited for 7-8 weeks. By then, the lesion on my forehead (suspected Actinic Keratosis) had resolved. I kept the appt. I wanted to be educated about treatments, precautions, etc. I also wanted to have my foot in the door to timely treat the next aggressive lesion to appear rather than wait 7-8 weeks. Instead, she pretty much berated me for wasting her time. Actually, her office staff had wasted my time. The clerk who made the appt should have said that the doc only was seeing pts w existing/tissue proven /active basal cell and squamous cell cancers which I've had in the past. She granted me a refund of my co-pay. I would have gladly paid the copay to take a few minutes to answer a few questions. She suggested I see an associate doc in her office for screening. The whole thing makes me to NOT go back no matter whoever the doc is. Also, their "patient portal" is a waste of time. Not interactive at all. So back to square one.

Moh's Procedures
To date Dr Collier has performed 2 Moh's procedures on me and did a great job on both. One required extensive work on my lip that I had let go for far too long and it isn't even noticeable! She is incredibly skilled and also has outstanding people skills as do her staff! I highly recommend her!

Awful experience
Worst medical experience I have ever had. Dr. Colliers bedside manner is icy and uncaring. Her staff is also not much better. The procedure began before I was fully numb and I felt everything. When I began to panic and tell them about it they chastised me for not letting them know that it takes a while to numb me up at the dentist office. Then she proceeded to send me home with no pain medication. I told my referring dermatologist that I will never go back to this office.

Very unprofessional and extremely unpleasant staff. There was a confusing situation regarding my appointment. One was scheduled with Dr Collier and one was scheduled with Dr Bentley who is not part of the practice but in the same building. Once I researched the situation I discovered the problem. My insurance company has a referral service. I had called them to request they recommend a dermatologist. They referred me to Dr Bentley. They had asked my availability but I had no idea they we’re going to make an appointment for me. I made an appointment with Dr Collier as I was very concerned the growth on my nose was basil cell carcinoma as another Dr thought it was but didn’t take a biopsy and said I needed to see a dermatologist/skin cancer specialist right away. When I arrived at Dr Colliers office for my appointment the front door was locked no sign or instructions posted. I called the office and was told the door locks automatically after 4 and they would come let me in. 5 minutes lat

Very unprofessional. She was more concerned about my insurance (which I have) and how I was able to get an appointment there, and recommended I go somewhere else since I only had Skin cancer once. She sees patients with more problems and I should go to a general dermatologist and she would talk to the receptionist to make sure more people like me don't get appts with her.

When I was told I had skin cancer, I became alarmed & anxious. The first time I walked into the office, I felt better by the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Collier's special way of relating to me helped put my mind at ease. She was friendly, warm, and very caring and compassionate. Jim assisted her, and she was wonderful. I hope I never have any skin cancer again, but I highly and sincerely recommend Dr. Collier if you need a skin cancer surgeon.
