Scleral Buckling Surgery for Retinal Detachment
I recently underwent surgery for a Scleral Buckling Surgery for Retinal Detachment, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the care provided by Dr. Swetangi Bhaleeya. Not only is she a skilled surgeon, but she is also a wonderful person who truly cares about her patients. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Bhaleeya and her staff were incredibly attentive, making sure I was informed and reassured at every step. Her professionalism, along with the friendliness and efficiency of her team, gave me great confidence through my recovery. The office is run seamlessly, and I’ve never experienced such a well-coordinated medical practice. I feel very optimistic about my future care and recovery, thanks to Dr. Bhaleeya and her team. I highly recommend her for anyone needing specialized Retina care!

Only Uveitis specialist in the Tampa Bay area
My surgeon sent me to see Dr Bhaleeya, a uveitis specialist. It was difficult to get an appointment but she took me in last minute. Long wait but she took her time in diagnosing my problem. Even though I was the last patient, I did not feel rushed. Her whole team was excellent. Very patient trying to get to the root of my eye problem. Gave me different options. Felt like she knew what she was doing. Will be seeing her again.

I don’t know how it is possible for her to have all these great reviews, she’s definitely non-caring! This was my first and last time seeing this woman! She spent all of about 10 minutes saying there was NOTHING she could do for me so that I would be able to see! I was there 2 1/2 hours for her to say that. So I when I left, I was worst off than I came and still had blood in my eye! I’m going to my find my old dr because she is made from a different breed. I’m never letting this woman near me again!!! She’s very condescending!!!!! I felt utterly helpless! Rude, very rude! She said come back in two or three weeks, to go through hours of pictures for her to tell me she couldn’t do anything for me?? Never again!!!

Dr. Bhaleeya, Is an excellent Doctor, she is patient, listens, & informs. She took her time and gave me a very good exam. Never did I feel rushed or that she was rushed. All of the supporting staff have high regard for her and she is well liked. It is very important to treat your coworkers with kindness & respect, which she apparently does! I was also seen by 2 extraordinary 4th yr Residents, Dr. Mark Hankins & Dr. Jason Min So, I trust they will continue the same care, skill, & philosophies of Dr. Bhaleeya, they will contribute in helping to give USF Eye Institute an outstanding reputation locally and abroad. I had emailed Dr. Allaya (Chair) about his Doctors Hankins & So; that I appreciated their high level of care, compassion, and hope that they will continue to do so in their careers. Hopefully their examples will rub off on the other Doctors. There are a few of them like all professions/jobs, that just should do themselves and the companies a favor and just quit.
