Technically excellent
I like Dr Kiss. He’s a bit of a rough diamond, but I have faith in his expertise.

Recent Visit
Dr Kiss is an outstanding medical professional. Extremely capable in the operating room with excellent surgical outcomes. He is also outstanding in terms of diagnosis and strategic maintenance. One of the best doctors that I have seen.

The office is an eye clinic across from the hospital. So patients are seen by fellows specializing in ophthalmology as well as Dr Kiss. But he is an excellent caring doctor. I have early stage macular degeneration, which he monitors.

If you are concerned about medial racism, stay away from Szilard Kiss. After arriving 15 minutes early for my scheduled appointment, Kiss had me waiting two hours. The staff was apologetic because I asked to reschedule even though I had already been dilated. The problem: there was a machine malfunction which I was told Kiss needed to examine my retina. When he finally decided to me, he never examined my eye with any machine. Since a star rating is required to leave a review, he gets one; he deserves none. If you want superior service, make a B-Line to NYU Langone.

Dr Kiss is absolutely the best retina specialist in the country!! My mother Dr asha kothawala visited him all the way from india to have a complex vitrectomy surgery for macular hole with retinal tears. He is compassionate and answers all the questions without rushing the patients. My mother has regained all the lost vision due to his amazing surgical skills. He answered all my mothers's emails even on weekends and also during vacations. His clinical knowledge and surgical skills are unparalled

My experience with Doctor Kiss was good. Wait time wasn’t great but he was able to properly diagnose what three other specialists mis diagnosed. If you have or may have Macular Degeneration he is your guy.

Totally would not recommend him. He was arrogant, distracted and spent more time talking about woodpeckers than about my eye. Would not answer questions, full of himself.

Appointment means nothing, except order of arrival if you're on time. From then on you wait for an hour+ until your turn comes. A resident will quickly examine you first w Dr Kiss inowhere to be seen. After another half hour wait, he shows up for a 5 minute (max) exam. Overpriced, not worth it.
