Dr. Taiseer Shatara, MD

I was once a patient of Community North and did not receive the care I needed. I became a patient of Dr Shatara after he did an excellent job caring for not only my stepfather but also my mother. Under his care I have been able to find, treat, and resolve a long-lasting issue with my pancreas and for that I am forever grateful to he and Dr. Baluyut.

I have seen Dr. Shatura for many years & he has always been very helpful and kind. I’ve had numerous tests over the years and also cope with IBS. He has always addressed my problems promptly.

He has a very controlling approach and doesn't like to share information that is vital to the patient. Also, taking too, much time to make a diagnosis and relating tests that should be done ASAP and results are not explained as should be leaving the patient guessing. His MA can be rude and aloof, also. I would not recommend this physician.

The entire time I was in my visit, he asked me 5x if I was pregnant and would continually cut me off when I was speaking. He asked me 3x if I had siblings and kept repeating the questions. Basically all I got to say was yes, no, yes the whole time while he stared at his laptop. I didn't even know I was getting a colonoscopy until I went to scheduling- I didn't even know the visit was over he just said "follow me" and then a minute later demanded I remove my stuff from his room (again didn't know visit was over). When I asked what the blood tests were for he said to "check for bad stuff" and asked for clarification and he said I wouldn't understand. I have a PhD in hematology, which he wouldn't know seeing as he talked at me, not to me. The worst doctor ever, I left the center so upset and on the verge of tears. If I could give zero stars I would.
