Review of Dr. Porter
Saw Dr. Porter for adrenal glad nodule which I have had for 8 years. Last CT scan 4 months ago showed a nodule. MRI 1 month ago was unremarkable. When I questioned her about this I believed I hurt her ego. She stated she would contact endocrine surgeons 5 months ago but neglected to do so. I asked her again 2 weeks ago. She has not responded and obviously feels I'm not worth her trouble. As long as you don't ask too many questions or bruise her ego she is the doctor for you. I believe I can do better and will find a competent physician.

Dr. Porter is a kind and expert endocrinologist. That's why I followed her from [another hospital], and made Rush my home for healthcare.

I treated with Dr. TAMA Porter for over a year and she has been one of the worst doctors that I have encountered in my life. She had me on a non-realistic regimen that only set me up for failure. When I told her that her plan wasn’t working the only her ego got the best of her and the only thing she told me was to stop messaging her so much and to find another endocrinologist. Who does that? It’s obvious that she didn’t care about me or my diabetes management in the least bit. In fact, she had the audacity to tell me that she couldn’t do anything for me and told me to find another doctor. Her lack of apathy and concern for a struggling patient was most alarming. I am beyond dismayed at the time I wasted with this doctor who has lack of sympathy for her patients. I have found a new DOCTOR and can’t wait to get back on a sensible and achievable diabetes management plan. Again, beware of Dr. TAMA PORTER beware!!!!! She is the worst!!!!!

Dr. Porter is extremely patient focused. She's thoughtful, thorough, knowledgable about her field as well as those that tie to endocrinology. I was super impressed when she responded to my emails personally through Northshore Connect. I'm thankful to have found her and highly recommend her.
