Skills and Bedside manner
Dr. Hersonskey is one of very few doctors that actually listened to me. He really took my concerns about my symptoms into consideration. A proper assessment means everything when it comes to finding a diagnosis. After seeking answers from multiple different doctors I was almost at a breaking point. I had always had crippling headaches, it was something I just thought was normal. Those headaches turned into more and more neurological symptoms. There were certain days I felt like I was being dipped in quick sand, it took everything to move. I was told that I probably just had anxiety and needed to seek therapy. I was developing on and off symptoms as well as progressing weakness. I was finally referred to Dr. Hersonskey where he thorough and efficient in asking questions and assessing my physical abilities. Finally a diagnosis. I felt seen for the first time in a long time. He treated me for years and eventually was the one who performed my surgery. Thank you Dr. Hersonskey!

Genuine Concerned Surgeon
My first appointment was very favorable. Dr. Hersonskey immediately explained that surgery was needed, the sooner the better. He was able to schedule the surgery for the next day. St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet was very accommodating and the surgery was performed on time and I was released the next day within 24 hours of the surgery.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Hersonskey. He recently operated on my husband's spine, and from the pre-op appointments, to inpatient stay, to the post op appointment, this Doctor has THE best beside manner of any surgeon I've even known (I've worked in health care for 15+ years). He always took the time to answer any and all of our questions. He even joked with us to lighten the mood of what was a stressful situation. We are happy the surgery is over and my husband is on to recovery, but we will be sad to not see him! An amazing surgeon and a great man!! Thank you, Dr. H!

I booked an appointment with this charlatan and wished I never went. I am on a walker and my husband was with me. The front desk told me that my husband couldn’t go in with me. I told them he was coming. They had to ask doctor. Many others came in office and both went to the room. So they call me to a room. They shove us in the corner and the nurse then tells me that the mri discs should have been brought by 5 days before appointment. You never told me that when I made appointment. Then she wants to reschedule so they can look at mri. She finally said she would take 4 minutes to see if the disc could be read. Then this man comes in room. He does not even introduce himself. He starts yelling at me about how bad my back was. That I was too fat for him to attempt to fix my back. He never explained anything so I still do not know what is wrong. Told me to come back in a tear after I have bariatric surgery. Told him insurance doesn’t cover. Was hysterical ever since I went ther

Personally I loved Dr. Hersonskey. He got us in immediately. My husband has a brain lesion. He ordered tests to move forward with my husband's diagnosis. The tests were at first denied by Medicare. I worked with Dr. Hersonskey's head nurse Holly. I left 8 messages without one call back. I have never seen such service in my life. Then the Office Manager, Cindy, got involved. 2 of the tests were approved. No one called to get them scheduled. Now 5 calls and no call back. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
