Dr. Tanuja Sharma, MD

I wanted to go to an integrated doctor and had to wait 266 days for an appointment with her. They told me they had a new doctor I could see. They kept canceling my appointments, and then that doctor was gone. Finally, I see a nurse who chalks up collapsing to high blood pressure on hot flashes. I was ready to blow my brains out! I get an email from Sharma and how sorry she was and come back. I did and was treated appallingly worse! I was trying not to collapse while talking to the receptionist and both treated me like I had leprosy. I can't live like this anymore, and going to the doctor's treat you like I imagine prison guards treat you. There's no way out.

I've been seeing Dr. Sharma for years, but Tampa General, it's Westchase office, and Dr. Sharma's now twice a week appearance have combined to make seeing her impossible. I called to make an appointment after my MyChart appointment attempt was completely ignored, and her soonest availability was THREE MONTHS in the future. They offered another doctor who's soonest availability was FOUR MONTHS in the future. So frankly, Tampa General is lousy relying on MyCharts which is completely ignored, and shouldn't even employ someone who only shows up two days a week. But boy- do they ever promote seeing their APRN instead! NO, I am calling a doctor's office, expecting to see a DOCTOR. REALLY, REALLY bad experience with Westchase. Really bad.

I have never experienced a doctor who cares as much, digs as deep into my health, and invests as much time in my care as Dr. Sharma. Prior doctors treated the symptoms only but never got to root cause of a 10-month medical issue. After one hour with Dr. Sharma, she has identified the root cause and a path forward. I can now breathe easy. I'm incredibly grateful. And while she's one hour from me, I'll gladly make that commute for this level of care.

This was my second visit with Dr. Sharma, annual physical. Having seen some of my test results, I was sure she would push me to go on statins. She did not, instead recommending dietary changes, exercise, and a follow-up in 6 months. I really like her thoughtful approach and holistic view of medical care. The entire office staff is efficient and personable as well. Just a great practice overall.

Very good experience with Dr. Sharma. She went over my test results, answered my questions in a kind, compasionate manner. I felt very comfortable with the examination. The staff was kind and helpful. So glad I was able to establish as one of her patients.

Dr. Sharma is AMAZING! I am blessed to be under her care and to have her as my primary Doctor. She takes her time to listen to her patients' concerns and she uses a more holistic approach in her care. I appreciate how she makes recommendations for improving the patients' overall health that incorporate healthy eating, supplements, and exercising rather than just masking symptoms with unnecessary medications. She prescribes meds when necessary, but she tries to find the underlying causes to medical concerns and to treat them. She is simply the best!

I was 10 minutes late to my appt and dr would not see me even though my daughter called to let them know we were running late.

Dr. Sharma is very knowledgeable and really takes the time to listen to you. She makes sure you understand everything and she never makes you feel rushed.

Dr Sharma was friendly and attentive to my health and well being. She was thorough with her examination and showed much concern, with follow-up appointments for further testing with specialists.

I had a normal follow-up with Dr. Sharma early April to go over my labs. This was a tele-visit but felt as normal and thorough as an in-office visit. After reviewing the findings we spent a good amount of time discussing an ongoing issue I brought up. Dr. Sharma was very thorough in taking notes and digging into any changes to my diet, meds, etc. , then ordered more tests and made some recommendations based on our discussion. I never felt the visit was rushed and that she listened to every concern I had. This has been my experience with her on every visit with her the past few years since she's been my PCP. I highly recommend her as a physician.

Felt rushed,you should not ve able to tell if ypur Dr. Is running behind or if they are a bit stressed that day. It was a first meet televisit...as I had seen the ARNP in person. I am the one who said noce to meet you in the beginni g and end. I will give her another in person chance as everyone deserves a fair shot. Not opposed to finding a new Doc who has patience and is thorough and caring either.
