Dr. Tara Heeney, DO

Dr Heeney asks good questions, pauses to listen thoroughly, then responds in a way that considers my condition, my emotional state and what I need to hear. She is as committed to my healing as I am. When I leave, I feel like I was considered as a person and not just another in a long line of patients that day. I've seen great doctors who weren't good people and good people who were OK doctors. Dr Heeney embodies the best of both, she's a great person who is a great doctor.

In the two years I have seen Dr. Heeney she has been concerned, empathetic and very professional. Unfortunately she has often missed the mark in her diagnosis when I reported my symptoms. I have wasted multiple trips to her office only to have my symptoms put down to anxiety, etc. Recently I sought out the advice of a couple of physicians who are actually addressing the very same symptoms I had reported to Dr. Heeney over a period of several months. I have been diagnosed with two separate conditions and am receiving appropriate treatment for them. I am on the right track now and will be changing my PC. It is frustrating when you have met with a physician repeatedly, only to realized later on, that while you were listened to attentively, you were not heard.

I find her to be good natured and attentive. I’ve only had a few appointments with her but each has been up to my expectations.

Dr. Heeney is joyful, professional, and knowledgeable. She asks smart questions and offers useful insight. She is thorough and each appointment seems complete – she doesn’t rush through the appointments.

An excellent listener and also well informed and not afraid to research your question if she doesn't know the answer.

Dr. Heeney is fantastic. She takes the time you need to address all of your concerns - I've never felt rushed or pushed along. I've also never been made to feel like I don't know my body, nor had my concerns brushed aside due to my lack of medical knowledge. She listens and her empathy is A+++. She is incredibly knowledgeable, but I also love her willingness to research something with me, in office, if she's looking for more info. If she weren't my doctor, I'd try to be her friend;)
