Compassionate and Down to Earth!
I first met Dr Lal almost two years at another practice, and have decided to follow her to her new office. The office is new, bright and shiny, clean and had such sweet staff! I just finished up follow ups for major surgery that I had with Dr. Lal. She has taken the time to thoroughly explain procedures, alternate solutions, medications and has made herself readily available via cell when I needed her. She listens to my questions, and provides valid answers without talking down to me or making my concerns seem small. In the long run she has quite possibly saved my life, her views are fresh, and she has an up to date perspective on current surgical treatments. You can't go wrong with Tara Lal, she's an amazing doctor

Great doctor
Very patient and empathetic doctor. Was understanding of our situation and calmly walked us through our options. Took great care of us during and after the operation. I would highly recommend her.

Loved Dr Lal!
Dr Lal was kind and compassionate and created a space that felt safe to discuss my concerns. She didn't make me feel like I was being judged and supported everything she said with evidence. I trust her and the care she provides and would recommend her to my friends and family.

great gynecologist!
I have been seeing Dr. Lal for a few years. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns. I needed to talk about a few sensitive topics - things you talk to the gyn about and I never felt judged. I recommend her !

Bad patient care
Dr. Lal helped with my delivery while at Bryn Mawr hospital. In my experience she is not a good Dr. & I would avoid seeing her. When I was trying to ask her questions & share concerns I felt like she was not listening to me. She kept cutting me off & saying something different than what I was asking. At one point the nurse stepped in & corrected her to help explain what I was saying. I feel like she became a MD for the wrong reasons. She has very poor bedside manner when it comes to patient care. It made my whole delivery experience bad. What she told me vs. the other three doctors before her during my stay was different. I understand things can change & the situation is fluid. But as soon as she came on 15 minutes after the previous Dr. saw me she said we needed to do a C-section. When questioned she kept saying you have been in delivery for 3 days & when I hadn't been in the hospital for 48 hours. Its hard because you want to trust your dr. to do the right thing. I would avoid her.
