Dr. Tashanna Myers, MD

This woman is currently keeping me alive. My case is atypical and requires her expertise. She is meticulous and utterly unrelenting. Three doctors I saw at Dana-Farber know her and are impressed with her. Dr Myers has twice called me at 6:59 a.m., before she went into surgery, so I'd have new information and not sit around fretting all day. She heads an extremely busy office, so her time is precious. While she's a warm person, clearly on a mission, she's also precise. She's a careful and direct communicator but she doesn't sugarcoat anything. That wouldn't benefit anyone. Her staff are generally sweet in a way that helps with an upsetting situation. My only advice would be to keep in mind this is a Bay State office and they mandate the use of nurses in situations where you need a doctor's attention. This has created problems for me. But it's easy enough to reject a nurse's examination and insist on Dr Myers. If you are fortunate enough to land a spot with Dr Myers, be grateful.

When I met with Dr. Myers to complete a procedure and then later to review the findings, she was cold, condescending, and talked down to me for asking simple questions. Her time is obviously very precious to her, as she rushed through both appointments, refusing to answer questions. In addition, she provided information in a clinical way, using large medical terms and worst case scenarios & assigning blame, not breaking things down or simplifying information when asked. I have since transferred from her care after two horrific experiences with her. I would not recommend her to anyone with any form of anxiety, or to anyone looking to understand what it is happening to their bodies.

Dr. Meyers and her staff are great. They are pleasant, professional and very compassionate. They take their time and make sure that you understand treatments and treatment options.

I have been dealing with an issue for over 6 months and this visit was the first time that I felt that I was taken seriously [...] and that I finally have a care plan. The team at Baystate were all amazing and I felt very comfortable and well taken care of!

Dr. Tashanna Myers is wonderful. She has been very attentive and caring to my serious and complicated health issues and has addressed them all. She is so kind and patient. I'm still on this earth because of Dr. Myers expertise. I am very grateful to have her for my doctor.

I have cancer. That's a scary word. Lots of scary things can happen when you have cancer. Dr. Myers and her staff made everything much less scary.

I feel so fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Myers for my surgery. She is an incredible doctor and surgeon. She took the time to talk me through the procedure and risks, and made sure I was comfortable with the choice to proceed. My recovery was uncomplicated, and I'm sure that this is a result of Dr. Myers' incredible skill.

I cannot thoroughly express how blessed I feel being under the care of Dr Myers. Aside from office visits, if I've a question or concern, the response time is fast. I am 100% confident in Dr. Myers as am in the Nurse Practitioners. The staff is also welcoming & friendly. I am grateful to be a patient in this office and am safe & supported during some of the times when feeling vulnerable or emotional, on my journey. To me, that is priceless. My only concern was the length of time it took for the doctor to respond to questions sent in on the portal, after the visit. It was a week or more.
