I want to share my experience and how grateful I am for the care I received. When I was diagnosed with lung cancer, Dr. Tate played a critical role in my journey. After he discovered the cancer, he referred me to a pulmonary specialist for a biopsy, which confirmed the diagnosis. The next step was seeing a pulmonary surgeon, and just three days later, I underwent surgery to remove the cancer. Fortunately, the procedure was a success, and the cancer is now out of my body.I also want to emphasize the convenience and peace of mind that the 365 healthcare program provided during this time. As part of 365, we were informed that the doctor wouldn't typically visit patients in the hospital, but we were encouraged to communicate through 'MyChart.' This platform made it easy to ask questions, stay informed, and receive updates about my condition. If you ever find yourself needing confidential information by phone, the 4-digit number code is essential or ' MyChart' is invaluable.

Visits in 2024
I have had many issues in the past year and have used the email to contact Dr DeLeon many times, he or his nurse get back to me in a timely matter. Even I recall on a Sunday I was very sick , emailed and within an hour he emailed me back. That is great service and makes me feel at ease when sick and questions are answered. He is very professional and personable in the office and makes me feel very comfortable to speak with him about my issues. He takes the time to listen and give solutions.

Let us down
My husband was a 365 patient of Dr DeLeon for many, many years. When my husband went into the hospital with pneumonia I called the office to let Dr DeLeon know that Gary was there and very sick. All his office wanted to know was his “code”. When my husband then had a stroke I called DeLeons office again. My husband died in the hospital on December 22 and DeLeon never showed up or offered any support. What a disappointment.

My cancer journey
I had been seeing Dr de Leon for about two years. I suddenly got very sick over about 12 hrs. I went to the ER and was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. I immediately went into surgery and in recovery was told I also had a very enlarged prostate. After a brief recovery I had a biopsy and it was official-I had cancer. If not for the appendicitis, I would not have been diagnosed until it might have been too late. Gratefully, me treatment has been very successful. But no thanks to Dr de Leon. Thought he did annual blood work, he never ordered a PSA blood test or checked me digitally. Both very easy. I feel he was VERY negligent. I can not in good conscience recommend this dr. My final comment-Guys, get checked!

I have been going to Dr De Leon for a few years now. He was highly recommended to me by several nurses whom I always think know who are the best doctors. I think he is intelligent, articulate, pays attention to what you are saying and one more thing he has a sense of humor. Would highly recommend him.

Routine follow up to assist in coordinating complicated care by three medical specialists. Dr. De Leon is a great listener, pays attention to detail, and helps me understand direction of my specialists while helping me avoid pitfalls. He is consistently on time and fully prepared when we meet.

I am a disable veteran and was a patient of Dr. Tate De Leon. The few experiences I had with him went nowhere and when I try to make an appointment I get told I have to pay all these additional fees and have to wait months after going to the ER. Woah. Greed before care? Yes.

One of the finest doctors I have ever interacted with. Dr De Leon cares for myself and my son. My son is a 49 year cancer survivor (many doctors over the years). Upon the exit of our previous doctor, we chose Dr De Leon. A great listener which is of the utmost importance when interacting and treating a patient with special needs.

I don't usually go out of my way to write a negative review but I feel It's necessary. I had called into the office to attempt To get in to see Dr DeLeon because I was sick. I was told they could not fit me in so I went to urgent care. The gal suggested I set up a follow up appointment after I visited urgent care. So I called in to set that appt. I could not get an appt Until July 10th. If you're seeking a doctor That has time for your care this one may not be a good choice.

Tate saw my Mom in the ER February 26, 2015. She was taking the blood thinner Coumadin; and her INR (test of blood thinner level) was dangerously high. An elevated INR in an elderly person should be rechecked in 1-2 day, but Tate told her to recheck it in one week. She died three days later, apparently of a Coumadin-related brain bleed, according to the ER doc. Tate twice deleted my reviews on the Vitals website and has never bothered to talk to the family.
