I took a 2 night sleep test. Got an email about 4 days after test and said call office for test results. Called and left 3 messages. Finally got a phone call back last week Feb. 12th. Had already decided to get a referral and go elsewhere. Asked to have my test results sent to new Doctor. Now February 17th and no records have been transferred. My new Doctors office just called and said no live person but left a message and faced a request to a person named Sarah. Terrible office staff.

Patient since 2010
I have been with Dr. Grimes and his clinic since 2010 when he officially diagnosed me with severe sleep apnea. The transition to telehealth sucked, but I recognize why it was initially done and the kinks seem to have been ironed out. I do have some gripes about the responsiveness of the support staff, but have never had any issues with any of the medical or diagnostic staffers. Based on my experiences and some detailed here, it seems that the administrative staff needs additional customer service training.

I had a good experience
Telehealth
I had a good experience with Dr. Grimes. I was expecting worse, after reading some of these reviews, but I'm glad that I kept the appointment. I spent two nights in a sleep lab, and I had several telehealth appointments with Dr. Grimes. He did not spend a lot of time with me, but he was available for questions, and he remotely adjusted the CPAP machine to achieve better results. I called or emailed or messaged the staff several times, and I thought that they were courteous and knowledgeable. The billing and the equipment delivery were smooth.

Rude staff-hang ups-no return calls or emails
They don’t return calls. They don’t send emails unless you call and ask why you didn’t receive one. Then they get mad and hang up on you. Not professional. This office needs to be investigated. I do not recommend!!!

Beware of Continuing Billing
Telehealth
Because of Covid, my husband never had a in person appointment. All virtual. We had a different insurance in the “years of Covid.”We got billed with our new insurance (Jan 2023) for the appointments that were on our old insurance, as far back as 2020. Saying we owed $100’s of dollars. Never can reach anybody in Billing. Now billed for a Telehealth appointment we did not have. And the copay is 3x’s what our new insurance advisor said we owe. With no help from Billing. They never answer or call back. These people do not care. How long, with all these negative reviews, will this business continue to go on, without some accountability ? A new doctor and office for us and I personally am going to report it to Better Business Bureau.Guess I’m the nut for staying, just because his office would send new equipment, which insurance covers.

No show for our appointment
I had a sleep study done in 2020 and the results were sent to Dr. Grimes to review. We had an appointment scheduled for a virtual visit due to covid. Leading up to the appointment I never received any email communications. I called the office and was told I was on the schedule and the emails would be sent automatically, Still nothing. I called on the day of the appointment and was told that Dr. Grimes was on vacation. When I asked why the appointment was scheduled on a day he was on vacation they told me "that happens"

I never met Dr. Grimes ... he supposedly read my sleep apnea results and I AM HAVING A HORRIBLE TIME WITH MY INSURANCE... YOU CANNOT REACH ANYONE WITH ANY SEMBLANCE OF SENSE TO ASK A QUESTION ABOUT YOUR ACCOUNT OR RECORDS. Well my insurance has denied my claim for service ... with this OUTFIT! I am relieved and pray nobody goes through what I and others have experienced. And that grouchy person should not answer the phone or let alone have this job in a customer facing organization! And my last thought - There is a company who associated with them ... they are not right either ... BYE TO THE BOTH OF YOU

Tate Grimes literally yelled at me because I wanted to ask about my CPAP machine. I didn't know anything about the machines and he was more concerned about whether or not I was going to purchase it through him vs becoming an informed patient. Very rude.

Dr Grimes was superb in our interactions. He listens, cares, and provides helpful information. Most importantly, he helped me with the therapy provided. The rest of the experience was marginal at best, with staff and the study.

I was referred to Dr. Grimes for my sleep apnea testing. I was at my Primary provider and was provided with a copy of the referral form they faxed to Dr. Grimes. After a week, I hadn’t heard anything so I called Dr. Grimes office. A grouchy woman answered the phone, asked for my name, and told me “You’re not in our system yet.” She said we’ll call you when your name is entered into our system. Fair enough. So another week went by, I called, got the same grouchy woman who tole me, “You’re not in our system yet.” One more week went by and I telephoned again. “You’re name is in our system, but we don’t schedule appointments longer than six weeks out.” So basically this practice wasted my time for three weeks and then told me they weren’t able to even schedule an appointment. Something strange about this practice, the practice location was listed with a Plano address yet the practice phone numbers are 817 (Tarrant County). From other bad reviews I’ve read about this Practice,

Dr. Grimes & Wellness in Sleep PA. run a broken fraudulent system. We received a bill for $600 in August for a Sleep Study that my husband NEVER had on 7-4-18, when we were on vacation. Husband called Dr. Grimes' office and they were going to check into it and call us back. 10/4, we receive 2nd $600 bill and a threat to send us to collections. My husband NEVER had a Sleep Study or saw Dr. Grimes! Because I was upset his office staff hung up on me.Don't threaten to ruin my credit &not hear me out

I visited the Wellness in Sleep clinic in Fort Worth. The staff there overcharged me (according to my insurance company, they charged a larger co-pay than required). The staff were unprofessional and became quite rude. One of the worst medical experiences I've had in my life, and I'm retirement age.

Have not met him and his procedure of sending a prescription without permission is devastating. I do not want that detail where I have not requested. Courtesy is to have staff contact a patient and ASK.

The office visit was extremely rushed with Dr. Grimes listening to my heartbeat and nothing else. A waste of a copay just to get the prescription with no followup care questions or answers.
