Reassures, no options
I would not recommend Dr Pappas to mothers. He assured me my two-plus- year-old son who had a robust vocabulary but wasn’t very conversational was fine. “Just read to him interactively.” Nine months later our son lost all speech and after 2 decades of intensive speech therapy he still speaks sparingly. I still wonder if Dr. Pappas had referred him for speech therapy at that meeting if he would speak more fluently. Our son had to start from scratch, Dr. Pappas should have offered options, not blanket reassurance.

Care Dr Pappas gave to my son Sam in 1989 at Child
While a patient at Children’s hospital my son was being cared for by Dr Pappas while he was doing his residency. Picking up on my sons strong depression Dr Pappas requested the library staff leave the room unlocked so he could play video games to boost Sam’s moral. Also the fact my son was football player Dr sent my son on an afternoon leave to spend time at his team game. I believe Dr’s attention to my son overcoming his depression helped in a speedier recovery.
