Dr. Terence Gan, MD

At the end of my wife's 3 day hospitalisation following a stroke Dr Gan phoned me and carefully walked me through his thought process. He detailed his conclusions and the implications should the alternative have been true. I was left with the conviction that his diagnosis, and therefore his treatment, was as accurate as science and learning could achieve.Two years later and in a different city we're caught in the tag game of referrals to specialists who focus on ever smaller fields and who can't afford the time to gain a fuller understanding. We've had our 15 minutes and the next patient is waiting. I'm hoping Dr Gan has a private practice alongside his hospitalist role and that we'll be able to benefit from his thoroughness again.

Thorough, detail oriented, walked us through step by step in plain English for every test result and recomendation. Truly an excellent doctor. It's a shame he doesn't have a clinic and only works in the hospital.

He spent 1 hour telling my dad how another doctor is thorough in his analyses and without giving any further insight in the analyses performed by his colleague. After 2 weeks from my dad's hospitalization (for which we paid $9000 in cash to the hospital), Dr. Gan sent his bill to collection without sending it to us first!!!! When I saw the notice from the collection agency, we did not even know what it was about, since we had never received any bill from this gentleman in first place.
