Dr. Teresa Blase, MD

I don't come to the emergency room because I get sick and don't have a regular provider and I don't go to the doctor on a whim because I have the sniffles worse than ever. That said I visited Mercy because of a severe head and neck pain. I couldn't hear well, see well, and had uncontrollable nausea. I don't get headaches and I could tell it was something serious. When I explained this to Dr. Blase she listened intently and was very quick to do blood and spinal tests. I ended up having viral meningitis and I have her to thank for that. I was turned down by another Mercy Dr. in the ER the day before and was told it was just a migraine.

She was by far the worst doctor I have ever seen. She did not listen to a word I said. She talked over me the entire time. She would not even tell me what type of medication she wanted to give me. When I told her that my brain literally felt swollen, she said “well your head doesn’t look any bigger “. I will have a huge ER bill now, and left with no answers. If she is working the ER, do not waste your time or money. She was literally the rudest doctor I’ve ever come across in my entire life.

I have never in my live dealt with someone so inconsiderate and not helpful in an emergency situation. She was rude and made the experience in the ER even worse than it should have. I will never go back to St Johns Mercy for emergencies solely because of Dr. Blase.
