Great doctor
I have always felt cared for and listened to by Dr. Girolami and her staff. They were proactive with my care and I highly recommend her.

I went to her before starting college for ongoing issues with anxiety and gut problems. When I told her I was having panic attacks, she immediately prescribed an antidepressant that caused more issues and made everything worse. In my opinion, GPs should not be prescribing psychiatric medications, especially when a patient is in as much distress as I was. The office staff was also unhelpful. I had to have a form filled out to medically withdraw from school because the anxiety had gotten so bad. I faxed the document over (as requested) and did not hear back for 2 weeks. Dr. Girolami made me come by in-person to fill it out and subsequently berated me for being "a young person just like her 14-year-old daughter who just pushes a button and expects things to work". As a doctor who is supposed to help patients become healthier, she only made me feel worse.

I was a new patient who chose Girolami based on location to my office. First met her to let her know what meds I was on, she said "No problem we can do all that here". Then had first appt 6 mo later, which she basically berated the previous doctor & their choice of meds. Had 2 bloods draws done but no explanation on why the 2nd. 3+ weeks of no one calling to inform results, I called and asked doctor to call me to discuss findings & plan going fwd - she didn't call back. Follow thru is lousy

She is a decent doctor but will make you book appointment unnecessarily, I have been on Thyroid medication of the same dose for years, but for refill every time she want you to book appointment every three months. Many of my friends get prescribed the same medication by doctor for six month and some time a year also. I have my dr friends and told that there is no need to have test done every 3 months. I have lost trust in her and feel that her medical advice is driven by greed, better stay away.

The doctor is fine but the other staff is terrible. Particularly the receptionist has an awful attitude. The receptionist has hung up on me and family members multiple times, the nurse practitioner prescribed me the ONE drug I'm allergic to, it just isn't worth dealing with so many rude and incompetent staff surrounding one decent doctor. Go somewhere else - her regular patients are leaving too.

I have complete trust in Dr. Girolami however her staff is incompetent and RUDE! I am considering changing doctors due to how rude her staff is, which is a shame because Dr. Girolami is wonderful.
