Poor bedside manners, do not go
Choose Dr. Riesch because he had the best reviews. Consult was good, he explained I can remove just 1 or both of my wisdom teeth. Went home and thought about it. On the procedure day, Dr. Riesch started numbing me without consulting what I wanted. I had to clarify with him that I wanted both teeth out. It just got worst from there. The whole time he kept arguing with his assistant. Every little thing she did was wrong. “What are you doing, STOP, start over.” I am not exaggerating. Couldn’t place the suction or rinse my mouth right. Dr. Riesch kept telling her to stop leaning on his hand the whole time. He was so distracted and I was so afraid he would make a mistake. He has poor bedside manners. When stitching me up, he bragged about how fast he was. “If I was a young guy, this would have taken me 30 minutes”. I felt he rushed through the whole thing. He would forcefully move my head where he needed me like I was unable to. All in all, I DO NOT recommend going to his office.

Anti-Science
Scheduled to see Dr. Riesch for a root canal, but as I was walking into his office from the parking lot, I saw an anti-CDC message on the window and what could be either a political message or something that treads to something more offensive. Either way, it was very unprofessional. I went in and canceled my appointment and found someone in Milwaukee who did great work.

My family and I have utilized Dr. Riesch's expertise over the years and although we don't live in the area anymore, we are happy to make the drive. He is expert at oral surgery and simple extractions as well. His staff is very kind, helpful and top notch!

Blessed to have him
I’ve had 2 teeth pulled and both times went perfect. He went over options one final time, then proceeded. He keeps the situation enjoyable for what it is and is very personable. He is phenomenally skilled and has very extensive experience. He personally gave me a call both times in the evening to check on me. I cant thank him and his staff enough for the wonderful experience he turned these visits into.

Visit went great
I had to have a molar removed which was broken. I thought Dr. Riesch was very personable and funny. I felt very comfortable talking to him, which eased my nerves. It’s great when a professional has a sense of humor. There was no pain except for the numbing injections, which is expected and not that bad. I was impressed that he himself followed up with a phone call that night to see how I was doing. We need more of that from dentists and doctors! It shows compassion and caring. Which means a lot to the patient. And unfortunately that is lacking in healthcare. All of the staff there were very friendly. If I ever need more teeth pulled I will definitely go back to Dr. Riesch.

Sister and POA of client
This office was great. My brother is in assisted living and i, his sister live in Arkansas. He had to have 4 teeth pulled. On visiting my brother in June and the referral was made the girls in the office had us come over to fill out paperwork as we were only visiting for a week. They were very friendly and helpful. The day he had his teeth pulled I called their office and the gal that answered the phone assured me he was in good hands which helped with my anxiety about this being 800 miles away. Everything worked out great. This is a very caring and helpful office. Dr. Riesch called the eve. of the extractions to check on him

Other commenter nailed it. No bedside manner whatsoever. In my opinion, he comes across as quite arrogant. Has short or rude response for every question or comment you make. Other people said playful bedside manner but really it was more aggressive and not respectful because of the way he barks his words, interrupts, admonishes for asking what he thinks are dumb questions or comments. Lacks humility and empathy which is not a good quality when you are putting your health and safety in his hands.

Dr. Riesch and his staff were nothing less than wonderful for when I needed my wisdom teeth removed. This office was a recommendation from a friend, and despite his office being about an hour away, I’d do the drive 10 times over again. Evey step of the process was smooth and painless (litterally!). Dr. Riesch is very personable and did an amazing job explaining the procedure and what to expect the days following. His front office staff were very nice and so accommodating with my schedule. My surgery and recovery went better than I could have ever imagined and I can only attribute that to the great care I received!

Had to remove a molar with a cracked root, that had abscessed. He was able to remove it on the initial visit, intact, with no discomfort other than the numbing injection, stings! It bled minimally, no socket problems, It healed perfectly, and I only needed a few OTC pain meds for discomfort. No payment till insurance was submitted. He's definitely an extrovert, funny and engaging. Highly recommend if you want streamlined, no nonsense care. Support office staff, just super.

I went in for a consult on my wisdom teeth. Everyone was very nice from the front desk- to the doctor. Dr. Riesch was willing to listen to my needs and talk to my cardiologist, before making a plan. I recommend him to anyone looking for an honest opinion regarding wisdom teeth extraction.

I’ve seen dr Riesch 3 times over the years and He has always taken care of me quickly , professionally and always called the day after my visit to check on me. Not an assistant, not the receptionist (though I’m sure they would because they are also awesome!) He has always called himself to make sure I was doing ok. So thanks Dr. Riesch!

I have a son with an autoimmune disorder and has trouble fighting infections. He developed a wisdom tooth infection. I didn't care for the Oral Surgeon recommended by our family dentist so I cold called Dr. Riesch's office, explained the situation and Dr. Riesch called me personally within 30 minutes. I explained the situation, he made time the following day to see him. I couldn't have been more grateful. We continue to give him business to this day. He is caring, compassionate, competent.

Went to see Dr Riesch, who took out my tooth so he could pack my dry socket. I started to cry and he scoffed, rolled his eyes, and threw his head back like he was annoyed. I cried some more and asked him what his problem was. He said to me " you are an add on, just an emergency. "How can u treat people like that?! You pulled my tooth and now it is in a great deal of pain and you are going to treat me like crap because your not getting paid for my visit?! Going somewhere else from now on.

I had a broken tooth (ice hockey) that needed to be extracted, a root canal, and then a replacement tooth needed to be built and that first required a post to be put into my jaw to anchor the new tooth. Dr. Riesch was great. Minimal pain. Fun bedside manner. And very helpful on the pricing to make adjustments based on what the insurance company was covering. I'm going in tomorrow for another procedure.

Terry extracted my son's wisdom teeth. After getting the run around for months by our insurance company, his office sorted it out and got the job covered and done. He was available to us through the weekend to be sure my son was recovering well. Great man, great dentist!
