I have been a patient of Dr. Remy for about 20 Yrs. She makes me feel like a team player with my health issues. She is never forceful, but measures all the angles. She is knowledgeable of new findings in the medical field that might off different options. IN short she treats you like a human whose insight is also helpful in the puzzle of good health.

Dr. Remy has been my primary care doctor for about 20 years and I can't say enough good things about her--caring, smart, remembers me and my issues, provides great advice and referrals. She spends the time with me that I need--for the specific problem--doesn't have time to add additional problems within an appointment. Her appointment times are limited my VHC, not by her, so appointments can be short and time to get an appointment long. Sometimes she runs late because she is taking the time with other patients and I appreciate that.

Disrespect for patient’s time
Complete disrespect for the patient’s time! Two times I’ve had to leave the office without being seen, due to the amount of time I was left waiting in the room. Not even an apology from her nurses…Terrible experience, I will never go back…

I went to see Dr. Remy for postmenopausal bone loss consultation. My sister has mentioned Dr. Remy but she told me she had a hard time booking her first appointment. I went ahead and requested an appointment with Dr. Remy anyway even though I had to wait six months to see her. And I am glad I made that decision. Dr. Remy has a great bedside manner. She took her time to answer all my questions. She speaks succinctly and plainly. She uses props and diagrams whenever she goes over medical related terms. She recommended options for me to consider based on my medical history. She is a fantastic doctor, IMHO. I told her it took me a long time to get on her book, and she apologized. She told me she is aware of the issues and that the practice is trying to improve the scheduling process. Often time, in a big practice, the physicians have no control over the scheduling process. Dr. Remy might not be able to see you right away but she is definitely worth waiting to get seen.

Had Dr Remy for many years. She WAS great. Still believing she was still my doctor I made appts to see her and when I’d go in I’d be given some story why she couldn’t see me but her PA could. Over a year and many frustrating appts the front desk told me that Dr Remy has refused to see me and she was no longer my doctor. I was told a letter advising me of her decision was sent to me 18 mos before to an address that I had moved out of 6 years before. Interestingly enough the letter showed my name change (made at the same time as my address change). I have no idea why Dr Remy made her decision, but her poor communications and failure to ensure that I receive proper medical care has resulted in some long neglected and serious medical conditions that have taken a long-term impact on my health. Hypocritical Oath?

My 87 year old mother and I have been seeing Dr. Remy for 7 years, since she was in a medical clinic in Falls Church and have followed her to Alexandria. She is very knowledgable, caring, attentive. My mother sees her at a minimum every 3 months for multiple health conditions. She usually spends a lot of time with her. I trust Sr. Remy's professional decision-making with my life.

Dr. Remy is attentive and thorough but the nature of time spent has shifted dramatically in the last three years. She's been my doctor for 8 years and her scheduling of appts now is very fragmented. If you want to talk about urinary tract problems, that's one appointment; to talk about arthritis or joint pain, that's another appointment; diabetic followup that's another appointment. She sees patients every 15 min and that does not allow adequate time.

Dr. Remy has been my primary physician for 21 years, I trust her with my life. What I've found over the years is that no matter what my situation/condition is she always spends the necessary amount of time to discussion/review my situations/condition and when necessary a way forward. For me she has the perfect bedside manner and that she is a very caring person. I've referred several friends to her, as I know that they will be in good hands.
