Great Rheumatologist
Dr. Moldovan is the 3rd Rheumatologist for me since diagnosed in 2020. She is a Great doctor, VERY knowledgeable and she has told me more about MY inflammatory arthritis than both past Rheumatologist combined. If your really not getting help with your current Doctor, move on until you find one that does. I did and I am very thankful to of found Dr.Moldovan.

Waste of Time
I have an unknown autoimmune condition attacking my eyes. My physician referred me to Dr. Moldovan to determine if I have lupus/get me on a long-term immunosuppressant to prevent further damage to my eyes. I saw Dr. Moldovan twice, paid $130 each time. For the first visit she did lab work to narrow down what disease process I have. That's fine, I want to know what I have. She also highlighted a bunch of specialists on a piece of paper for me to follow up with. The second visit only lasted 10 minutes. She showed me my results, told me I did not have lupus but probably Hashimoto's disease (still autoimmune but attacks the thyroid gland), told me she will not be seeing me anymore, and highlighted more specialist referrals on the same sheet of paper she gave me last time. It took over a month to see her and I now have no access to the immunosuppressant drugs I needed to protect my eyes. Don't waste your time going here.

Dr. Moldovan is the best rheumatologist!
Before I started seeing Dr. Moldovan I had no improvements no matter what treatment I was receiving. I was put on harsh medication at a young age for my rheumatoid arthritis and never saw any improvements. It wasn’t until I switched doctors and found Dr. Moldovan. She completely changed my treatment and got me started on path that led to less pain, less swelling and less damage to my joints. I’ve never had a doctor not only listen but tailor to all of my concerns. She is so thorough and always makes sure she’s taking the best route of action when it comes to taking care of her patients. She’s the only doctor I look forward to seeing. Not only is she amazing but the whole staff is amazing. From the women at the front desk to the nurses, to the amazing infusion nurse. Dr. Moldovan makes sure to surround her office in positivity and kindness. I can’t recommend her enough. If you’re looking for a rheumatologist she is the best in the business!

Orencia and Behcet's Disease
Hello to all my fellow Behcet’s Disease Warriors!! I would love to tell you about my Rheumatologist, Dr Thais Moldovan. She is a kind, caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate physician. I began seeing Dr Moldovan for treatment of my RA and Behcet’s Disease. She started me on an Orencia infusion to treat my RA. There is another wonderful benefit that I discovered from my Orencia infusions. I have not had a full blown Behcet’s flare since I started the Orencia!!! During my last office visit, Dr Moldovan shared w/me that there is a coloration between Behcet’s Disease and the Orencia infusion, for treatment of Behcet’s. I would urge anyone who is suffering from constant Behcet’s flares, to try the Orencia infusion. It is very difficult to find treatment for Behcet’s Disease. I would recommend Dr Moldovan to ANYONE who lives in this area!! Dr Moldovan really knows her stuff!! She has a beautiful office, infusion suite, and a lovely staff.

It Takes a Village: Organizing a Fibromyalgia Team
The most important words Dr Moldovan spoke, after reviewing my bloodwork results: You Are Healthy...and you have fibromyalgia (which is challenging)! Dealing with a life time of chronic pain, plus anxiety and depression (I am 70 years old) has always made me feel ill, insecure, flawed, hyper-focused, and "less than". But when Dr. Moldovan discovered my approach to improving my health, she was impressed with the pro-active nature of all my self-care activities: 5 years of weekly sessions with a therapist; walking 2-3 miles a day in all kinds of weather; practicing Yoga Nidra (yoga sleep or relaxation exercise); treatment with a Naturopath who prescribes supplements which help me achieve better sleep/manage stress; good eating habits and continually learning about ideal nutrition; obtaining prescription orthotics from a podiatrist to correct supination so I can keep walking without pain; prioritizing healthy relationships with family and friends who feed my soul. Thx, Dr. Moldovan!

Waited well over an hour to be seen. Tiny cramped exam room with open trash overflowing. Sopping wet disposable robes were on the floor. Dr. spent less than 10 minutes reviewing options. Was not able to answer questions on medication she suggested. Clearly rushed and almost indifferent. Office had food, trash, brooms, papers everywhere. Looked very disorganized. Haven't heard back from report that was supposed to take 2 days.

I happened to find Dr. Moldovan after constant disappointment and frustration with my previous rheumatologists over the last 11 years struggling with Lupus. Dr. Moldovan is so sweet and so personable. To find a specialist with "bed side manners" is rare. I was comfortable from the start. Dr. Moldovan is extremely thorough which I have never had with my previous doctors. It has been a very long year with my Lupus, Dr. Moldovan has been there every step of the way. She is quick to see me in the office or responds to my emails. She has helped me at my absolute worst (sobbing in her office because of the pain) and what meant the most to me was her empathy and desire to make me feel better. I still have some more to go, but I wouldn't want to be on this journey with any other doctor. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Moldovan (or her entire staff).

If you are looking for a great doctor who really cares and wants to listen to your problems and is truly wishing to create a good experience for the patient, look elsewhere. If you are looking to be left waiting for 50 minutes to be talked to for 5 and be told conflicting information, congratulations this is the doc for you! Had it not been for the existence of Mychart and advocating for myself this doctor was going to completely ignore a major anomaly in my results and tell me everything was fine. After pointing it out she advised I could get surgery after just having said everything was fine and there is nothing wrong with me (because that makes perfect sense to me) Also I requested to be given all my test results and I only received half of them and they specifically did not provide me the results to the test that looked into rheumatoid issues. I’m glad to all of those who had a good experience with her but I myself was highly disappointed in her care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Moldovan’s for 4.5 years now. The first rheumatologist I went to not only prescribed the wrong medication and treatment for my condition (lupus) but dismissed all my questions saying that I should do as I was told. I was 27 when I was diagnosed and was disheartened by the experience. I am so relieved and happy I found Dr. Moldovan! From the beginning, she has been so nice, personable, and professional. She has worked with me to find the best treatment options available and is prompt to answer all my questions. The office staff is always friendly and attentive. I also receive infusion treatments and the Infusion nurse, Dawne Baker is the best! :)

I strongly recommend Dr. Moldovan. She is the first rheumatologist to order all tests needed and thoroughly explained why. All treatments are explained to me and I am confident in her knowledge and skills. It’s a great feeling when you find a doctor who actually helps you. Ieasha, Marylou and Ally are very helpful and friendly.

I only wish I went to Dr. Moldovan in 2018 from the beginning. She explained more than any of my past 3 rheumatologist has about autoimmune and ANA levels and is testing many things that other rheumatologists have overlooked all these years to help find the root cause. She validated my symptoms and listened to everything I had to say and was extremely thorough. Even if it ends up not being autoimmune, I am confident that she is helping me finally get in the right direction! Her entire staff was also amazing; Melanie was beyond helpful and accommodating with scheduling and getting me set up via email due to my hearing loss which was greatly appreciated. Her nurse (I believe Ayesha was her name - sorry if misspelled) was also super friendly and thorough. MaryLou at the front desk was also super helpful in getting everything in order before I left. Overall, I went in with no expectations with this being my 4th rheumatologist but had hope and Dr. Molodvan beyond impressed me.
