Dr. Ampadi is an excellent surgeon!

Dr. Ampadi is a skilled surgeon. My visit was a follow-up surgical visit with my concerns about the slowness of the scars healing. I left a little anxious not knowing when the discomfort and bother of a wound healing so slowly somewhat unresolved.

My first visit to this office was a very good experience. Everybody was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. Very thoughtful and caring

My experience with dr Ampadi has been an absolute nightmare. Went in for a simple consult to have a large lipoma removed- he kept calling it “tiny”, (maybe confusing it with one that I have that IS tiny- not why I was there) insisting it wasn’t causing pain, looking at his watch, worst bed side manner I’ve ever encountered- then made me go for a 2nd scan to check an unrelated issue and said he wouldn’t answer questions because he “didn’t want to scare me”. When the results came in he wouldn’t review them with me- shuffled me back to my PCP, with a message from his nurse “if you drink alcohol you should stop” with no context or information. Then wanted to remove the original 5cm lipoma in his office. Thank god my pcp knew that sounded off, that the lipoma is large and not tiny, and referred me elsewhere for a 2nd opinion. He made an already very challenging time much more scary and stressful and was arrogant and aloof while doing so. He caused me weeks of additional pain and anxiety.

The surgical team could not have done a better job. I was treated with kindness and respect throughout the whole procedure. Dr. Ampadi gave me helpful advice and reassured me that my surgery went well.

Seeing Dr Ampadi was a nightmare. His exam was rough & painful, his bedside manner was frankly terrifying, and he prescribed a med that had awful side effects, including making me pass out & hit my head, without giving me correct warnings about how to use the medicine. I also found out that this med was not even the first-line option that the vast majority of doctors choose, and that the surgery he recommended was both extremely premature for the condition I saw him for & also not recommended for females. I strongly urge you to protect yourself from this terrible doctor and request another provider if the office schedules you with him.
