Dr. Thejas Swamy, MD

Felt very cared for an understood by Dr. Swamy. She knows what she's doing and she treats you like someone you matters which, for me is important.

My first visit with Dr. Swamy, went very smoothly. She was very pleasant and congenial. She went through my test results and history. Explained in detail any question I asked. Her knowledge was excellent as we should expect from a specialist.

I found this doctor to be rude, abrupt, with no bedside manner, only seen the patient for 15 minutes and did not try to explain or direct on the next steps. I would never bring my family member nor recommend anyone to this doctor. The staff in the office is also unfriendly and need direction with professionalism.

i classify many doctors today as drug runners for the huge drug industry. this is another one of those types and they see lots of erstwhile patients willing to be permanent guinea pigs. i chose not to and after changing my habits around completely i have turned the corner to more normal living rather than restricted to a walking time bomb.

I have been a patient of many physician’s but have never felt compelled to leave a review. Dr Swarmy is everything you would want in a doctor. She treated me with compassion and genuinely appeared to care about me as a person and not just my kidney issues. She was knowledgeable in her field and explained things thoroughly. I feel fortunate to have been referred to such an awesome doctor!

I had my first appt with Dr Swamy yesterday - a Telehealth appt (due to COVID-19) which I believe will become our new normal. My experience with Dr Swamy was extremely positive - spent a solid 1/2 hour discussing my case, treatment, etc. I found her extremely informative in a way that I could understand, very patient taking all of my questions, very thorough in the types of questions she asked regarding my case. I am very confident in the treatment prescribed AND the reasons why. I have also found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. PS - have had several Telehealth appts and find them very effective and convenient for discussing lab results etc - I actually like this approach and reserving in person visits for times when a physical exam is required.

Jessica is very nice and helps resolve issues...on the other hand Sophia is extremely rude. She has hung up on me after claiming I call too many times which is unprofessional seeing as there was error in billing and scheduling and I had every reason. After hanging up she even went so far as to prescribe the wrong dosage of medication which could have led to much more serious issues. After explaining the issue with medication Dr.Swamy backed her colleague acting as if it was not a problem!!!

My first visit being diagnosed with KD and she spent 5-7 minutes with me! She claims I've had KD since 2006! She was ready to leave the exam room with her hand opening the door, and said, 'Keep pushing fluids.' I asked when she'd like to see me again. No need for that or apparently any treatment other than hydration.
