Skilled Surgeon
Dr. Protopsaltis is an extremely skilled spinal surgeon with amazing manners and ability to communicate the diagnosis and treatment plan. I was in awe with the way my rare and complex case was handled. He performed a complex surgery that was successful and talked to me in the hospital after the operation. I would recommend Dr. Protopsaltis to anyone in need of a spinal surgeon.

I went to see Dr. Protopsaltis after six years of sciatic nerve pain due to spinal stenosis and scoliosis. Other surgeons I had seen were wary of performing the surgery I needed, as my stenosis was particularly acute. However, Dr. Protopsaltis was confident he could perform the surgery successfully, and as a result, I had full confidence in him. He performed spinal fusion on three levels of my spine in a six hour operation. I was up and walking the next day, and after two weeks or so I was feeling pretty much back to normal. Two years later, I continue to be grateful to Dr. Protopsaltis not only for his brilliance and consummate skill but also for his forthrightness, his can-do attitude, and his humanity. I honestly feel he gave me my life back.

make sure u always pursue an appt
NO ONE even asked me about my spine situation but sent me a 'message' dr may be wrong and referred me to a 'team' Dr..... this is the STAFF that does this! i wonder if the Dr knows this . Anyway, I pushed because of his background and been told how complicated my case is.....and got in but it should not be this difficult. Hard to review dr. as I don't see him for 2 weeks yet. This is about scheduling.

This man changed the course of my life. He operated on my spine to fuse my entire spine and put in two metal rods and 26 screws into my spine. Not only did he perform the surgery perfectly, he had me up and walking around the hospital the very next day. He is an amazing surgeon who will blow away your wildest expectations.

Dr Protopsaltis was amazing. Most Physicians will come and talk to you quick and leave. He stayed with me and walked with me to the operation room and continued to talk to me and keep me calm. He also got me some warm blankets. I feel amazing as well. This was my second Discectomy and I used a different provider the last time. I was in so much pain and they were not as comforting during the process. I highly recommend Dr Protopsaltis to anyone

From top to bottom, my visit was timely, professional and personable. The entire staff was/is excellent! Dr. Protopsaltis is very conservative and did not make me feel like there was a need to rush into surgery

He performed surgery on my lower back and used a newer technique that known as MIS - Minimally invasive surgery minimally invasive surgery thus I had a faster recovery, minimal blood loss and least amount of pain. I was walking a day after surgery. Had an incredible speedy recovery. He’s a gifted surgeon. I’d give him ten stars if I could.

I had to have a second neck surgery, specifically a disk replacement after an old fusion. This doctor is the nicest and most patient, answering all questions in detail and being available for follow up. Even more importantly he showed remarkable caring in the hospital before and after the surgery and I had results much better than expected with fewer and shorter difficulties or complications post-op. As a physician myself I would recommend him to any friend or family member without hesitation. I believe he is exceptional among his peers.

DIFFICULT OFFICE, DIFFICULT STAFF. On June 23rd 2018 I called the office to schedule an appointment and a lady told me to call back. I did but I did not have a response until July 12 2018 when I spoke with Kenya who was not helpful, confused what I have said and made lots of mistakes. Also they appt was given to me for a month later and then canceled. After filing a complaint with Patient Relations another woman called me was pretty nice at first then very bossy DON'T NEED THIS

He did a wonderful job on me. Had anterior/posterior surgery April 2016. I am pain free after, not a single pain medication since. I am blessed to have him as my surgeon. Thanks a million to you. I do recommend him highly to everyone. Trust me, he's really really good.
