Dr. Theresa Wong, MD

My wife is a Cancer survivor and a Parkinson's disease patient, In a recent change of physician process, she offered to accompany my wife to transition to a new doctor. Her physical presence at the new doctor's office made my wife felt assured and because of her presence the new doctor spent much longer time to address treatment alternatives. Dr. Wong's personal care was beyond our expectations.

Dr. Wong has been been a literal lifesaver to my family, some of whom have complex medical histories (including an elder transplant patient). She has also been a tremendous doctor to me as well (I am one of the only living survivors of a rare cancer). Dr. Wong, in addition to being a brilliant diagnostician, has one of the most impressive education backgrounds: she was essentially admitted to medical school at age 17 as part of UCSD's Med Scholars program, received an MPH from Berkeley, AND completed her fellowship and residency at one of the world's best hospitals, UCSF. To boot, she has a very kind and reassuring bedside manner and treats her patients with deep empathy and care. She is also actually fluent in English, Mandarin, and Spanish, which is so genuinely impressive. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doctor with deep expertise, high IQ and EQ, and a giant heart. Medicine is truly her calling and our family feels very lucky to be patients of Dr. Wong.
