Dr. Balsbaugh was the ONLY doctor to examine me after I wrote the CEO of UC Davis Medical Center requesting a doctor competent for parasitic worms. I included a photo of an almost 2 inch worm on my ear. Dr. Balsbaugh would tell me later that he and the CEO decided in her office the photo was "faked". They secretly used me as an example of a mental condition. Dr. Balsbaugh was saying , "There are no human parasites in North America" at the time. He never examined for what I described, and laughed at me. Six months later the Resident found the hard itching lumps growing behind my ears & was forbidden to examine them. They were the eggs. Online UC Davis info says those symptoms should have been examined. His friend, the CEO, denied me a Second Opinion. She had no medical license. I have been denied examination, diagnostic test, referral to Infectious Disease, or Second Opinion for almost four years. Any of those will reveal Dr. Balsbaugh's deliberate misdiagnosis.

A doctor that doesn't think he's God. A great person as well as a caring doctor. Plus, he gave me a very cool pen! Highly recommended.

One of my favorite doctors ever. Intelligent, great diagnostician, great bedside manner. Also very patient, compassionate, and humble. Doesn't judge you and sincerely wants to help.

I have a complex medical history and Dr Balsbaugh has been my doctor since 2000. He is compassionate, takes time with his patients, and is very knowledgeable. I couldn't recommend a better physician.
