Longtime patient
I have what was once regarded as a very rare, genetically transmitted neurological disorder. (As of 2014, NF is now known to be as common as type 2 diabetes.) I have been a patient of Dr. Bowser's for many years. He is thorough, knowledgeable and very kind, combining his medical expertise with warmth and humanity. He has performed nerve velocity conduction testing (never fun) needed for follow-up and other assessments. I always found his explanations clear and his bedside manner sympathetic. When I developed a seizure disorder (a not uncommon part of NF) he referred me to an epileptologist (a neurologist who specializes in seizure disorder) to whom my case has been transferred. I have never waited long, nor felt rushed in my appointments. I believe that fit is important in many areas of life, few as important as patient and physician. I would retain Dr. Bowser as part of my medical team, but may have only one of each specialist.

I began going to Dr. Bowser at my PCP's recommendation after my previous neurologist retired. My experience with Dr Bowser over a 3-4 year period has always been positive. He was genuinely "on my side" and offered help with selecting lower cost meds that did the job as well as more expensive drugs my previous neurologist prescribed. His office was equipped to do most of the testing required to followup on my stroke history.

For being a stressful and painful procedure Dr. Bowser made this very easy and understandable. I felt comfortable and safe in his office the entire time. I would hope to never have this test again but if I did I would go back to Dr. Bowser!

I saw Dr. Bowser this morning for an EMG, thankful that his office was able to schedule me quickly due to a cancellation. Cindy at the front desk was cordial and helpful. I was taken back to the procedure room quickly and Dr. Bowser came in just a few minutes later. We discussed my medical history and he explained the procedure carefully. The procedure itself was a little uncomfortable, but due to Dr. Bowser's personable and conversational demeanor, this was all in all a very pleasant visit. My test results will be sent to my surgeon today - I am very pleased with this provider and his office staff!

Very Good experience today. This review is of the doctor. Not his staff, or his receptionist, or the decor of his waiting room. Unless you are super sensitive and need a Doctor to rub your back and agree with everything you say (then you need a don’t , cuz YOU already know what’s wrong with you). He talks. Yep. He tells you what he is doing and what it means. I found him frank and very blue collar, small town personable. I liked him. He didn’t rush things. He hears you even if you think he missed something. If you swear a little, he probably will too. If you tell an unrelated story, he probably will too. If you call all these things rude, or unprofessional, or if you hate his carpet choice, pick someone else.

Please do NOT waste your time seeing this “Doctor”. I read the reviews and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. I like a straightforward provider and I thought others might be over sensitive. I could not have been more wrong! I was accused of fabricating symptoms. Told that I should nit be on medications that have truly helped me for over 5 years. I complained of weakness and numbness in my right leg, I explained that I couldn't grip my toes to wear sandals. His solution was for me to stop wearing sandals. No diagnosis other than I was fabricating. I was hoping I might get some answers. After seeing a REAL Neurologist at Anshutz in Denver, I was diagnosed with MS!!! Multiple Sclerosis!! I wasted close to a year hoping I would get an answer from him. I wouldn’t refer my worst enemy to this man!

I had 2 appointments with Dr Bowser this week. He did not want to overwhelm my system by doing EMG/NCV on all four extremities in one day. He and his staff were very professional and helpful. He explained what he was doing and how the different reactions were interpreted. I would recommend him highly.

DO NOT GO THIERE IF YOU ARE A VET! Dr. Bowser stated to me "I don't know how the military can get a disability rating for TBI since it can't be proved. But I don't know. I've never been hit by an IED." That says it all.

I went to Dr. Bowser for starters as I needed to see a neurologist ASAP. Mostly for my tremors but other issues including migraines. He never gave me a real diagnosis. He took me off clonazepam almost immediately when Walgreens told him there is a possible interaction (YEARS) - HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. I carry a complete list of 'scrips with me as I have spine/cervical issues along with failed surgeries. Fact is- he never really cared. He typically stared into his laptop computer, spoke of himself

This rude condescending and unprofessional doctor does not even deserve one star. I walked out of my appointment, in the middle of my test, because I could not handle his accusations. I was extremely upset and in tears when I left his office. As a breast cancer survivor with lasting medical problems from Chemotherapie and numerous surgeries I do not need to be insulted by a non caring physician who has no interest in a patient’s history and just makes assumptions. All patients deserve better

I moved to Colorado with uncontrollable migraines. Dr. Bowser was the ONLY physician that could ever get them under control. He tried different methods and titrated my medication until it was perfect. So when I was having migraines a few times a week, he turned into once in a blue moon. I owe him my life. He got me out of bed and back to living again.

App. with Dr. Thomas Bowser on 8:00 AM 3/13/2018 Wow! What a surprise, as I was apprehensive after reading a couple negative reviews on the Doctor’s website. I can truthfully say, as an older person (81), the Doctor is one of the nicer Doctors I’ve met, very professional, thorough, on time ... no waiting, and all his staff members were extremely nice and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Thomas for anyone needing an EMG test, which he explained in a manner I could understand as a layman!

Dr Bowser is refreshingly straight forward. He addresses symptoms and issues and tells you exactly what your dealing with and what treatment is possible. He told me what I needed to hear not what I wanted to hear. That may be difficult for some to deal with but I believe that when your dealing with Neurological issues it is essential.

Don't even want to leave 1 star. Extremely condescending and rude! First thing he says when he walks in is, "Wow never seen a patient as young as you with so many symptoms, don't know why they sent you to me." Asked me questions and when I answered he would challenge or question my answers. Basically said well cant help you and walked me out. Never go to him!!!!
