Dr. Thomas Cha, MD

I had a negative one time experience meeting Dr. Cha. He was dismissive and eager to pawn me off on another doctor for a spinal stimulator. I have seen 3 surgeons since all wanting to do a spinal fusion. Also, my medical notes recorded from the visit by him were not reflective of what he told me for treatment.

The PA was OUTSTANDING and answered my barrage of very detailed questions with professionalism and authentic friendliness. She is A++. Dr. Cha was equally as friendly and of course very knowledgable. Both spent a lot of time and truly cared about giving me the answers I needed. Dr. Cha has a lot of experience with disc replacements and has experience with multiple artificial disc types.

I could not recommend Dr. Cha, PA Leah Witkin, and the rest of his surgical team enough. Dr. Cha went above and beyond to fight my insurance for over a week after they denied 1 of 2 major parts of my surgical plan at the last minute. He called me personally with each update during that fight. Of the three top docs I saw for opinions in Boston, I went with him because he took seriously the lesser likely of my concerns other doctors brushed off. His plan was the most unique and forward thinking by far. I’m 33 so sparing my neck mobility and reducing the frequency of future interventions is key. He took all that into account and did a fantastic job. I had a 2 level hybrid surgery in my cervical spine; one disc replaced with an artificial, the one below it fused. The incision is so minimal and healing great. He answered all my millions of questions during each appointment, even if I repeated them. Leah, his PA, is lovely and genuine. They truly saved my life.

I went for a consultation to see Dr. Cha and was very impressed by his personality as well as his assistant Dr. Patel. I felt very comfortable with both of them and know that I will be in good hands with Dr. Cha.
