Poor, Poor & Poor
This doctors office staff and Dr Chen do NOT do what they say they’re going to do EVER! They don’t return phone calls like they say they’re gonna do, they don’t get ANYTHING done ever. It’s mostly the front office staff definitely, but the doctor should be making sure that things are getting done for his patients!!!! I would NEVER EVER see this doctor’s office again EVER. If you decide to go there and see this Doctor, good luck!!!

Never refill medications
He's a nice enough doctor but I have never successfully gotten refills without calling his office multiple times. It has sometimes taken weeks. And when I check to see if he refilled it, they say yes when it never really was called in at all. Even my pharmacy said he was one of the worst doctors for getting refills.

Rude and Incompetant!
Don't wast your time coming to this chaotic office. My 71 year old mother needs to get her stomach problem checked out, the nurse gave me a different instruction everytime and sent us running in circles for a whole month. On our last visit they send the wrong order to the lab and when we called them from the lab to get a stomach exam order, but instead they cancelled our appointment for no reason. Their nurses and doctor do not care about their patients at all, every word they say is rude and sarcastic and that is no way to treat any body let alone a 71 year old woman.

i would think twice before making an appointment.
This doctor does not believe in taking a urine test. He also does not call you for the results of your test, nor does he have his ma do it . Chose another doctor. My son is under the care of another primary doctor. His medical records have been requested from dr. Chen twice. To date, they were never sent. I will be seeing a new doctor this month. I hope dr. Chen will send my records. I thought it was a law for dr. Chen to summit records to the new doctor.

Covid
Called in first thing in the morning. Still have not heard from anyone at the office after 4 1/2 hours. This is not difficult to prescribe medicine for someone with covid.

This clinic is not definitely patient oriented. Don’t expect faster or immediate attention and response from the doctor. I asked for an MRI for my brain due to the symptom I have, and a lady whose name is Alexa told me you have to wait for 3 month even though I called the imaging center and can get an appointment in 3 days. Alexa also said if you wanted an MRI, you need to pay $1000 for pre-work that insurance doesn't cover. I have done MRI several times, this is my first time hearing this story. Anyway, if you really want to be taken care of, consider going somewhere else.

Horrible doctor. Does not care about his patients. Doesn't make the time for his patients. He has his office workers call the patients to discuss results of tests, which is not standard procedure. The office workers don't even have the technical acumen and knowledge to be able to discuss test results. Don't waste your time. Don't know how this guy still has patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chen for more than 5-years. I find him to be very thorough and willing to spend as much time as needed to explain my blood work and other tests. I also find the staff in his office helpful ... when ever I need anything like a refill of a prescription.

Called the office of different occasions when sick. First time was told they were booked and couldn’t see me for weeks and to go to an urgent care. Second time was told they are booked out 7 weeks, when I told the office I was switching doctors, they all of a sudden had an appt the next day. Doctor Chen is a nice doctor, just not enough time slots if you get sick.

My wife and I are healthy and see Dr. Chen once a year for our physical, but when my wife recently got sick, we were told to go to an Urgent Care as they are BOOKED. We said we would not mind waiting as we did not want to go to an urgent care and they said they can only schedule a follow up a few weeks out. DISGUSTING. It is bad enough to pay a fortune for a PPO, even worse that the doctor cannot squeeze someone in. Beyond disgusting.

Never got to talk to him for a fairly serious health condition...would not call me back and his office staff was very defensive and not medically trained to discuss my condition. A brief call from him would be very helpful!! Was told he was back to back meetings...hire a qualified PA or nurse to answer medical question instead of having office personnel who are not trained. I understand they are trying to do what you tell them...but Dr. they are not trained medical personnel!
