Poor Bedside Manner
Imagine a doctor has his hand on the door knob but keeps asking you “any more questions?”. Do you think you would feel like he cares at all or is in a rush to see his next patient? This guy is awful, he showed little care and I couldn’t understand anything he was explaining to me about a fracture in my back. Ended up having to get a second opinion just to understand what’s needed. Would never see him again or recommend him to anybody.

Excellent Clinician
I visited Dr. Dopson for lower back and SI-joint related pain. The exam was thorough and began with the staff interviewing me about the nature of my pain followed by a series of x-rays of the affected regions. After Dr. Dopson reviewed the information and images, he performed a very thorough physical examination and questioned me about the pain in various regions of my back. Dr. Dopson was careful and systematic in his approach and reasoning about the possible contributors to the pain. He had a lot of experience and this was evident in the exam and in my interaction with him. He answered all of my questions and we discussed further diagnostic and treatment options. I was reassured by what I learned and found Dr. Dopson to be both expert and caring in his approach. We have a good plan moving forward. It was an excellent first-visit (with more to come). I would recommend Dr. Dopson very highly.

Very Pleased.
I am very pleased with the care provided by Dr Dopson and his team The doctor was very clear in his expectation of the result, and I can say that what he expected is the outcome. While I remain under his care we are continuing to evaluate my progress as well as treating other concerns. If I were no satisfied with the outcome of the first surgery, I certainly would not be considering additional care. Thank you to Dr Dopson and team for helping me get my life back!!!

Terrible Know He's Not here to Help You
For anyone reading this before you read on, If you are concerned and/or had medical care with Dr. Dopson, do consider filing a complaint with the GA Medical Compliance Board. I am doing everything in my power to have him removed as I do not condone lying, I see the multiple people with similar complaints to mines and this is unethical. People die because of behavior like this. he doctor comes and he does this excessive test causing me more pain poking and probing me they really make you believe they care. Then once he finishes the exam he doesn’t tell me anything he walks out two weeks later he tells insurance company I got hurt on my own and I didn’t get hurt at work . I suffered two separate accidents at work one resulted from the other, and me asking the employer to let me go to the doctor, they denied me and threatened to fire me. this man told the insurance company that they were no way no how at fault for the first accident on top of the second accident . He's a fathead liar.

I've been there twice because of a ruptured disk and wanted a pain shot which I've been given several times with other doctors. He gave me a shot but it was in the wrong place because it didn't help me. When I told his assistant that and all he did was prescribe pain medication. Also my time in the waiting area was 1 hour and 45 minutes.

I have had 2 surgeries at Resurgens- both doctors and experiences were very positive. However, the interaction with Dr Dobson and staff was worst I have ever had with a doctor. Staff and doctor were late, rude and condescending. Said they normally run an hour late, and their time clearly more important than mine. Worst ‘bedside manner’ I have ever experienced. Goodbye Resurgens.

Dr Dopson performed a surgical posterior hip replacement of my right hip. I could not have asked for it to go better. My recovery has gone so well that I sometimes forget I had it done . Dr Dopson’s surgical skills are excellent, his bedside manner is great and his staff members are the best!

Dr Dobson did my neck disc replacement in 2009 and gave me a 75% back to mobility from a bad car accident! He is straight to the point and did a beautiful job on my neck, it is 2018 and my neck is still holding up beautifully! Highly recommend him for replacements, but he is not a counselor, go in knowing he is an excellent Surgeon, but as a pain patient go elsewhere for a counselor!

Dr. Thompson is the best you can find. He has done 2 surgeries on me and always answer any questions you have and describes what to expect. Before I had my second surgery I was told to use other doctors. I was not pleases at all with any of them. I then went backs to Dopson and he told me that I do not have to use him but then explained what he would do to me. He told me that we were going for 90% and will probably have 40 to 50% relief and that is what I got. He is very straight forward.

Every appointment with Dr Dopson has been stat since I have had debilitating pain, due to a herniated disc. He and his staff have been so accommodating & wonderful to me! Every request I have made & need I have is always addressed in a timely manner by his wonderful MA Candy. My first visit I was a work in, and I know I put him behind, but he still took the time to review everything with me & answer all of my questions. He is very thorough, knowledgable, & compassionate toward his patients.
