Coastal Vascular institute
Had multiple appointments with Dr. Eskew. Was told I had a blockage in my left leg. I would need to have a stint placement. Would not work with insurance to get approval for surgery. Waited months to get resolved. Finally went back to Primary Doctor and was sent to another vascular Doctor. Had tests all redone and was told I need the surgery. Went in for surgery but my artery was so blocked that I need bypass surgery. I did have the bypass surgery. If Dr Eskew had not had me wait I probably would have only need a stint placement. I would not recommend him for anything! Didn’t even care! Only kept changing my insurance for appointments and not doing what needed to be done! Would not recommend him!!!!

Block Carotid Artery
Dr. Eskew and his PA found my endarterectomy had blocked, Dr. Eskew didn't do the endarterectomy another doctor did; I saw Dr. Eskew because my GP became concerned of blood flow after I had a mild stroke. Dr. Eskew did an ultrasound, found the endarterectomy had blocked and I was immediately set up for a Stent; I was in surgery within a week! Thank the good Lord for Dr. Eskew and his team.

Dr. Eskew is by far the best doctor I have ever had care for me. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and capable. Nobody wants surgery but if you need it I would highly recommend him and his capable staff.

Dr. Eskew has a reassuring but frank bedside manner which is very welcome when encountering scary vascular issues. He has closely monitored my two "stented" splenic artery aneurysms for the entire nine years that I've lived in Wilmington. I am very sorry to be leaving this beautiful town due to a work move - and Dr. Eskew and the prospect of having to find a surgeon I trust and like as much as him - ranks high on my list of reasons.

Back in October, Dr. Eskew performed a thoracic outlet decompression on me. He came highly recommended by the cardiothoracic surgeons I work with along with every other anesthetist and surgeon I've encountered. I was almost entirely symptom free on the affected side on post op day 1 and still remain mostly asymptomatic. I have to have the procedure on my other side later on and he's the one to do it.

As one with 12 years as an Operating Room nurse, I have had the opportunity to evaluate the competence and skill of multiple surgeons. When it became necessary for me to have surgery to correct a condition called thoracic outlet syndrome, there was no doubt to who I would choose; Dr. Thomas Eskew. I was not disappointed. He thoroughly evaluated the extent of the injury and addressed and treated my surgical need. Because of his skill, I have had a complete restoration to health and function

Where do I begin, Dr . Eskew has performed surgery on my right side for thoracic outlet decompression. Not only did the surgery leave me with more pain than I started from but he also gave me nerve damage to my right eye called Horners Syndrome. I now have a deformity to my right eye and my symptoms are worse. Also he repeatedly lied to Metlife telling them I was pain free and ready to return to work inspite of my constant pain and symptoms. i would give him a zero if u could .

Outstanding physician. Dr. E is friendly, informative and he spends the time YOU need while answering all questions. We were in the waiting room and the notorious back room for only a few minutes each. I highly recommend him.
