White Coat Not License To Act Foolish
My mom just told me a great story about being chastised for asking if something will hurt, then having her questions ignored. Someone thinks that wearing a white coat lets them say and do whatever they want to senior citizens. Someone is gravely mistaken.

Clearly explains conditions and treatment options
Dr. Huott has successfully treated me for three problems: plantar fasciitis, a torn Achilles tendon, and an ingrown toenail. He thoroughly explained these conditions and the various treatment options during the initial visit for each. His sense of humor might give new patients the sense that he is cavalier, but he is most certainly very concerned about his patients. He always asks how I've been progressing since the last appointment, and I know he's listening, since he'll also ask me about issues I've raised during previous visits. Wait times are usually just a few minutes but occasionally they have been longer and, in these cases, he has stopped by my exam room to let me know he's running late.

Dismissive and not helpful
I saw Dr. Huott for chronic foot pain and was very disappointed. He made me feel like my concerns and pain were not valid, and provided no real answer or solutions. He also talked over me and did not answer any of my questions. I left feeling more confused than anything.

We had just started working together
Dr. Huott is a funny guy and our sense of humors matched well. We had a short term plan in place and I was looking forward to working with him. For my second visit, I waited for 45 minutes and no one checked on me or assured me I would be seen anytime soon; so I left. His staff are perhaps new and lacked the experience to check on idle patients to offer some reassurance. I have not received a follow up call. This is not how a well functioning practice does business. Based on the long wait times, they have plenty of patients. I will not be one of them. Which is sad for me since I am still in pain and needing help. I will find another doc/practice.

Not confident in himself to do my surgery.
Dr. Huott has no confidence in his ability to perform surgery due to my anxiety about the surgery which he told me would be very painful. He would not put me under anesthesia. Told me the mass on my foot was an aneurysm. Would not do an mri when I asked him to. Went to my primary doctor and he told me it was not an aneurysm and scheduled an mri. The results showed several things that it could be none of which was an aneurysm. Brought the results of the mri to Huott and he said nothing to me about the results. What he did say was psychiatric advise to go to a therapist and learn how to cope better with my anxiety and come back when I get that taken care of. Needless to say I got out in my car and just sat there for 15 minutes trying to figure out what transpired and was horrified by what I just heard. I tried to understand why my anxiety (which is perfectly normal) had to do with his ability to do the surgery. He said it would interfere with my recuperation. I dont get it!

Friendly and experienced doctor
I was experiencing a lot of pain on the side of my foot due to a virus. Dr. Huott removed it with no pain whatsoever. Very personable doctor and I would highly recommend them.

It is with pleasure that I write this review about Dr. Thomas Huott. Dr. Huott is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very caring toward his patients. Dr. Huott has been my Podiatrist for several years now and I would definitely recommend his services! Recently it was necessary that he perform a surgical procedure and as expected, Dr. Huott did a wonderful job! At my follow up appointment following the surgery, he was very thorough in explaining to me what he had done, as well as explaining the results of the pathology report. I would definitely recommend Dr. Thomas Huott!

The person who left a review ststing that I didn't answer their questions, listen to them and that they didn't trust my decisions could not have really been my patient. I'm a very good listener. I always answer questions, even when a patient has lots of questions and my decision making skills are excellent. I take really good care of all my patients. The other reviews are all excellent. Please come see me for yourself. I can be a good doctor for you too ??. Dr. Tom Huott
